When have NBA players ever wanted to travel to practice at Vandy? Never.
Until they ACTUALLY invested in there program and
facilities.
Think about what that can do for a college program:
Better facilities to develop players.
More NBA talent coming through campus.
A recruiting pitch that practically sells itself.
Imagine touring a school and seeing NBA players working out in the gym you’d use every day.

The FBS Oversight Committee says in a statement that "instant replay protocols were not followed in the contest’s second-to-last play" in the Western Michigan-Michigan game, and "had the protocols been followed, the outcome of the game would have been different."

NEW: The Big Ten has released a statement on the controversial Michigan walk-off Hail Mary against Western Michigan:
“Following video review, it was determined Western Michigan’s #18 started his jump from an established out-of-bounds position (left foot) and made contact with the ball with one second remaining on the clock. As shown in the provided video of what was viewed during the replay process, a side-by-side view of the play and the game clock, using a direct shot of the game clock in the stadium, was used to determine the final ruling.
Eighty-five minutes prior to the game, all broadcast cameras used for the replay system, including the camera on the game clock, are synced using a strobe system to ensure all cameras are aligned.
Per NCAA Football rule 4-2-3-a, “A ball not in player control, other than a kick that scores a field goal, is out of bounds when it touches the ground, a player, a game official or anything else that is out-of-bound, or that is on or outside a boundary line.” and thus the clock is stopped.”

The one element of private equity that feels under discussed is its almost always a race to see how much money can be stolen before the market corrects. You have a product people love and trust (Jersey Mike) and you exploit the love for it. People will eventually revolt but not before someone gets rich. The lie outpaces the discovery (hey the product is shit, used to love this) just fast enough. The brand gets wrecked, and the vampire squid moves on to its next host. Intentionally enshitifying things people love might as well be financial cancer.
Wendy's and Jersey Mike's have gotten worse — and @stavvybaby knows why:

Donald Trump was done on January 6. Republican lawmakers failed to overturn the 2020 election after the violence was quelled. Mike Pence did his job, confirming Joe Biden’s victory. Social-media companies locked Trump out, and even allies issued rebukes. Two weeks later, the 45th president jetted off in disgrace for would-be exile in Mar-a-Lago. Democracy held.
Next, 67 senators could’ve voted to convict Trump in impeachment proceedings, barring him from running for office; state and federal prosecutors could’ve put the former president on trial for conspiracy and election subversion.
However, two men, Mitch McConnell and John Roberts, helped ensure that such accountability would never come to pass, paving the way for Trump’s return to power.
