I'm shaking I'm so pissed off. Our energy company DTE that has a monopoly, several rate hikes in a single year gouging us to literal death, power loss every time the wind blows. DTE was recently sued for pumping 3,200 tons of sulfer dioxide into the atmosphere, only $120 million, the next day they gave us a rate hike to pay for our own cancer causing poison & now this cunt gretchen bitchmore has appointed the vice chair of DTE to our states Natural Resources Commission. This can't be reality.

ENOUGH WITH THE GENOCIDE ACCUSATION.
More than 6,000 scholars, historians, legal experts and public figures have signed an open letter rejecting accusations that Israel committed genocide in Gaza. Among them: Steven Pinker, Niall Ferguson, Benny Morris, Deborah Lipstadt, John Spencer, Irwin Cotler and former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Branding Israel’s war against Hamas as “genocide” distorts the facts and has been weaponized against Jews worldwide.

On paper, I’m in my 50’s & it’s really confusing…
In my head, I’m 35.
At a concert, I’m 25
After 10pm, I’m 72.
Getting up off the floor, I’m 93.
When someone makes me mad, I’m 2

When an 80’s song comes on,
I’m 17, drunk in a field, & my mom thinks I’m at a sleepover

The Positive Program – What We Actually Build.
The diagnosis is complete. The disease has been named – the long march, its toolkit, the captured institutions, the Gramscian pipeline running in every Western country simultaneously. The question that follows is the only one that matters: what do we actually do?
Not in theory. In practice. The extractable lessons from the places where the counter-march is actually working.
1. Name the mechanisms.
Before anything else – the vocabulary. You cannot fight what you cannot name. Cultural hegemony, elite capture, the ratchet, the Overton Window, preference falsification, lawfare, repressive tolerance – these are not academic terms. They are the names of the weapons being used against you. The person who has this vocabulary reads the news differently, recognizes the mechanism in the specific story, can name what is being done rather than simply feeling it. Naming is the first act of resistance. The preference falsification ends when enough people discover simultaneously that they are not alone. The naming accelerates the cascade.
2. Break the distribution monopoly.
Musk’s lesson. The long march controlled the transmission mechanisms – the school, the university, the media, the platform. The counter-march must break the monopoly on distribution before anything else is possible. X did this – imperfectly, incompletely, under constant assault from the Counter-Reformation. But the printing press didn’t need to be perfect. It needed to exist. The alternative distribution channels – X, Substack, podcasts, independent media – are the infrastructure of the counter-march. Fund them. Use them. Defend them. The EU Digital Services Act, the advertiser boycotts, the regulatory assault are the Index of Forbidden Books applied to the platform that replaced the public square. Resist them as what they are.
3. Build the intellectual infrastructure first.
Hayek’s lesson. You cannot skip the intellectual work and go straight to the politician. Someone must produce the ideas. Someone must translate them for millions. Someone must fund the institutions that do both for twenty years, including when the ideas are unfashionable. The think tank, the school, the formation pipeline, the organization that outlasts its founder – these are what convert a moment of attention into a durable transmission mechanism. The pipeline that produces Obama also produces Milei – when run in reverse. Build the pipeline.
4. Run the ratchet in reverse.
Milei’s lesson. The ratchet clicks only one way – but only if you let it. Speed – act faster than the captured institutions can respond. Will – the absolute refusal to compromise with the consensus that produced the crisis. Preparation – the personnel, the plan, the intellectual infrastructure already in place before the political moment arrives. The first balanced budget in Argentina in over a century. Government ministries halved. Regulations abolished. The establishment that said it was impossible watched it happen. The ratchet is not a law of nature. It is a habit of the people who have been losing. Stop accepting it. Someone has to turn it. Milei did.
5. Capture the cultural layer.
Gramsci’s lesson – applied in reverse. Culture precedes politics. The side that controls what is beautiful, what is admirable, what stories are told and how, controls what the next generation believes is possible. The right has been writing policy papers while the left has been making the films. Stop. Fund the artists who have something worth saying. Not propaganda – excellence. The standard the current system has abandoned. The film that is simply great and happens to reflect the values of life, freedom, and civilization. Beauty is not decoration. It is a civilizational argument. Make it.
6. Build the formation pipeline.
The WEF’s lesson – applied in reverse. The Young Global Leaders program identifies people at thirty and forms them for decades. The counter-march needs the equivalent: the program that finds the next generation of civilizational builders, gives them the intellectual formation, connects them across borders, and sends them back into every institution. Not a secret network – a transparent one, everything the globalist project is not. The Council of Western Civilization. The formation school. The cross-border network of people who have been transmitted to and are committed to transmitting forward.
7. Have more children.
Have four to six of them. So that you have them to spend most of your life transmitting to. A little tribe – so they can stick together, a small society of civilizational resistance and development. They can build together. They can give each other courage. They can transmit to each other what you transmitted to them. Maybe even a dynasty.
The civilization that stops having children has already decided, at the most fundamental level, that the future is not worth bringing people into. Reverse this – not as a policy but as a personal civilizational act. The family is the smallest and most durable counter-institution available. It is where the first transmission happens – the values, the stories, the sense of what is worth admiring and fighting for. Every child born into a family that knows what it is and says so is a link in the chain the long march is trying to break. The large family is not a lifestyle choice. It is a civilizational statement. And possibly the most radical one available.
8. Transmit deliberately.
Poland’s lesson – and the deepest one. The nation that disappeared from the map for a century and came back, not because it had an army or a state, but because the language was transmitted, the culture was transmitted, the sense of what it meant to be Polish was passed forward in the family, the underground school, the poem memorized in secret. The family came first. The nation followed – because a nation is nothing more than families who share a transmission, who pass forward the same stories, the same values, the same sense of what is worth defending and what is worth building.
Start with the tribe you have built. The dinner table, the poem read aloud, the history explained, the book handed from parent to child, the conversation that continues across years until the child knows what they have inherited and why it matters. Then the tribe connects to other tribes – the school you chose (or built), the community you built, the network of families transmitting the same things in the same direction. And from there, the nation. Not the administrative state – the living nation, the people who know what they are and say so.
The state can be taken. The transmission cannot be stopped if the people doing the transmitting refuse to stop.
This is how civilizations survive. Not through governments or armies or institutions alone – but through the unbroken chain of people who received something worth passing forward, and passed it forward deliberately, to specific other people, one generation at a time.
The torch changes hands or it doesn’t. The choice is always personal before it is political.
Tell the truth. Have courage. And build.
—
The long march took a century. The counter-march will not – because the distribution revolution has compressed the timescale, because the managed reality is visibly failing, because the preference falsification is ending, because the proof of concept is running in Argentina and the question is being asked by US senators about Poland.
The window is open. The tools exist. The vocabulary is spreading.
The Toolkit to Understand the Long March
Gramsci designed the strategy. Dutschke named it. A generation executed it. And most people still cannot name what happened – because the mechanisms were never labeled clearly enough to be recognized in real time. Here they are.
Cultural Hegemony – and Cultural Marxism
Gramsci’s core concept. The ruling class maintains power not through force but through controlling the categories of thought. You don’t need to censor if people can’t think outside the approved framework. When the working class accepts that the existing order is simply how things are – no force is required. The revolution requires changing these categories first. Control what is thinkable and you control everything downstream. This is not propaganda – propaganda is visible. Cultural hegemony is invisible because it operates at the level of assumption, not argument. The Frankfurt School took this concept and applied it systematically to Western civilization – which is what Cultural Marxism means: not economic Marxism but the same logic of oppressor and oppressed, applied to culture, identity, and the institutions that transmit values.
The Long March
Dutschke’s application. Don’t storm the institutions – occupy them from within. Get the job in the editorial office. Get the position on the faculty. Get appointed to the curriculum committee. Replace the people who run the institutions with people who share the counter-hegemonic project, and wait. The institutions will produce different graduates, who will produce different hires, who will produce different policy. No visible moment of rupture. The march took fifty years. It worked.
How Institutions Fall
What the march looks like from inside the institution – the mechanism of institutional takeover. Not dramatic – incremental. First one appointment. Then the hiring committee. The committee shifts the culture. The culture shifts what is rewarded, what is punished, what questions are asked, which answers are acceptable. Then the output changes. Self-reinforcing once started. Irreversible without deliberate effort. Most institutions in the West are somewhere on this curve.
The Ratchet
Every progressive policy advance is permanent. Every conservative advance is temporary. The ratchet clicks only one way. Why? Because the institutions that implement policy are captured – so when a conservative government wins an election, it changes the government but not the civil service, not the judiciary, not the regulatory apparatus, not the media. The direction continues. The ratchet holds. Elections become a choice between the speed of change, not its direction. This is what Gramsci predicted and what we are living.
The Gleichschaltung
The Nazi term – but the mechanism is universal. The coordination of all institutions in a single direction. Not through central command but through aligned incentives – the ESG score, the DEI requirement, the grant condition, the advertiser pressure. Each institution coordinates voluntarily because the cost of not coordinating is higher than the cost of compliance. No conspiracy is required. The incentive structure does the work. Every corporation, university, media organization, and foundation moves in the same direction – not because someone ordered it but because everyone can see what happens to those who don’t.
The Overton Window
The range of ideas considered acceptable in public discourse at any given moment. Not fixed – moved deliberately, in both directions, by funding positions that seem radical until they shift what seems moderate. Yesterday’s unthinkable becomes today’s controversial becomes tomorrow’s mainstream becomes next year’s obvious. The mechanism by which open borders, gender ideology, and the managed demolition of national sovereignty all moved from impossible to inevitable within a generation. Both sides can use it. One side understood it first and funded it systematically.
Preference Falsification
Everyone privately disagrees – but publicly conforms, because each person believes everyone else agrees. The emperor’s new clothes at civilizational scale. The system maintains itself through the illusion of consensus that nobody actually holds. Until something breaks the illusion – and then the cascade is sudden and total, because the preference falsification ends simultaneously. This is what happened in 1989 in Eastern Europe. The regimes looked solid until they didn’t. They didn’t fall – they largely evaporated. The same dynamic is visible in the West today. The polls that show what people say. The anonymous polls that show what they think. The gap between them is the measure of the pressure.
Manufactured Consensus
The deliberate production of the appearance of expert agreement where none exists. The summary that contradicts the underlying report. The "scientific consensus" on topics where the science is actively contested. The fact-checker who checks framing not facts. The peer review process captured by the same ideological network it reviews. Not a conspiracy – a coordination problem solved by shared incentives. Everyone in the system benefits from the consensus. Nobody benefits from challenging it.
Lawfare
The use of legal process as a weapon – not to win cases but to impose cost, delay, and reputational damage. The process is the punishment. File the complaint, trigger the investigation, generate the headline, force the legal defense. The target is damaged whether they win or lose. Used against political opponents, journalists, platforms, and individuals whose activities threaten the network. The legal system was designed to protect the individual from the state. Lawfare inverts it.
Repressive Tolerance
Marcuse, 1965. The philosophical justification for all of the above. Tolerating wrong ideas is itself oppression – therefore suppressing them is liberation. True tolerance requires the intolerance of the intolerant. The left decides which ideas are intolerant. The framework is circular by design: you cannot escape it from inside, because the escape is itself classified as intolerance. This is why cancel culture does not feel like censorship to the people practicing it. It feels like tolerance. Marcuse taught them that it was.
These are not separate phenomena. They are a system – each mechanism reinforcing the others. Cultural hegemony creates the assumptions. The long march captures the institutions. Elite capture makes it self-reinforcing. The Gleichschaltung coordinates the institutions that haven’t been individually captured. The ratchet makes it permanent. The Overton Window moves the acceptable range. Preference falsification hides the resistance. Manufactured consensus provides the legitimacy. Lawfare suppresses the opposition. Repressive tolerance provides the philosophical cover.
The system has one vulnerability: it requires the illusion of consensus to function. Name the mechanisms clearly enough, in public, and the preference falsification begins to crack. Which is why the Counter-Reformation moves so fast against the platforms that name things.
You are reading this on the one that does.

Again you display your ignorance of history. Israel’s 2005 Gaza disengagement was a unilateral withdrawal ordered by Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. In August–September 2005 Israel evacuated all 21 settlements in Gaza (about 8,000–9,000 settlers) plus four small West Bank settlements and pulled out the last IDF troops on 12 September. Sharon presented it as a way to reduce friction and improve Israel’s security position after concluding there was no reliable Palestinian partner for a negotiated deal at the time. The Palestinian Authority under Mahmoud Abbas (who had succeeded Yasser Arafat) received the territory but did not control its borders, airspace, or coastline.
Hamas then won the January 2006 Palestinian Legislative Council elections, taking 74–76 of 132 seats with roughly 44 percent of the popular vote against Fatah’s 41 percent. The mixed voting system (half proportional lists, half winner-take-all districts) amplified Hamas’s seat total. Voters were widely seen as punishing Fatah for corruption and failure to deliver after years in power. Hamas formed a government under Ismail Haniyeh; Fatah refused to join it. International donors and Israel imposed restrictions because Hamas did not accept the Quartet conditions (recognize Israel, renounce violence, accept prior agreements).
Factional fighting between Hamas and Fatah security forces intensified through 2006 and early 2007. In June 2007 Hamas’s armed wing overran Fatah positions across Gaza in a few days of intense clashes, capturing security compounds, executing some rivals, and driving Fatah officials out. Abbas dismissed the national-unity government, declared a state of emergency, and set up a separate administration in the West Bank. Since then the Palestinian territories have been split: Hamas ruling Gaza, the Fatah-dominated PA ruling the West Bank. The 2006 election therefore preceded, rather than followed, Hamas’s military takeover of Gaza. Then on that fateful day on October 7th, Israel was thanked for giving the Palestines their own place to live.

Victor Davis Hanson: The Sudden AI Panic Is A Classic Strategy. Just Follow the Election Calendar.
Why are tech CEOs suddenly warning that AI could destroy humanity—while simultaneously opposing liability for the products they create?
The history of election-year doomsday scares is abundant, from the 1968 population bomb to nuclear winter in 1984, climate change in 1992, Me Too in 2016, etc.
“When you see a sudden epidemic, a melodrama, a hysteria, just be very careful because the odds are it will be in an election year, it'll be ginned up by a so-called left-wing expert, and when it's all over, that left-wing expert will be pretty wealthy.”

Mike Rogers just did what more Republicans should do.
He told FOX 2 “hard pass” on a so-called debate with Abdul El-Sayed because the moderator already picked a side. That’s not cowardice. That’s refusing a stacked room.
Rogers is a Michigan kid who served as an Army lieutenant, then as an FBI agent taking down organized crime. He chaired the House Intelligence Committee.
He doesn’t owe a performance to a DSA-aligned activist who built a career on racial grievance and now wants a Senate seat.
El-Sayed can stand next to an empty podium and call names or better yet sit down with Hasan Piker and openly discuss their plans to destroy America. They can discuss the real life failures of Socialism in history and how they don’t care.
Rogers already served this country.
He doesn’t have to prove it to a left-wing media setup that treats patriotism like a punchline.
I would like to see more Republicans follow Mike Rogers lead and stop playing their game.
