The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) has awarded a $23 million Nationally Significant Multimodal Freight and Highways Projects (INFRA) Grant to the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT).

BIG news: $23 million is headed to Crawford County to help @myARDOT build truck parking infrastructure along I-49!
This funding is part of the $200 million I allocated to @USDOT in my FY26 Transportation-HUD appropriations bill.
As Chairman of the @HouseAppropsGOP THUD Subcommittee, I know how critical safe and accessible trucking parking is to our nation’s drivers, and I’m extremely proud that #AR3 is directly benefiting from this investment.

The Highway 59 bridge over the Arkansas River north of Barling is scheduled to decrease to a single lane from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on August 26. The Corps of Engineers will be performing a routine bridge inspection. Flaggers will be in place to monitor alternating traffic.
