A new chapter for $TAO identities starts today.
For the first time, #Bittensor-native .tao domains have a dedicated platform to be bought, sold, discovered, and valued by the market.
List your names. Discover new ones.
Make offers. Buy and sell.
The .tao economy starts now:

Browser-based AI inference faces a significant memory constraint. Traditional browser memory limits make running larger open-source models difficult.
@TPN_Labs addressed this by adapting its inference runtime to support 64-bit memory addressing, increasing the browser's working memory ceiling from 4GB to 16GB.
This opens the door to running substantially larger AI models directly in the browser, with inference happening locally rather than through a remote API.
@Gratis_AI makes this capability accessible. Pick a model, let it download, and run it on your own machine.
We're excited to introduce @Gratis_AI.
Run opensource AI models locally on your machine for free, with no setup required.
Gratis runs models from @huggingface directly in a browser tab or desktop app for more power, making every chat private by design.
TPN builds small, capable models; gratis runs them.

A lot of the most interesting work on #Bittensor happens beneath the surface. But infrastructure only reaches its full potential when people can actually use what it makes possible.
@TPN_Labs (SN65) is a good example.
They're working on making capable AI models smaller without sacrificing their capabilities. And with @Gratis_AI, that work is now accessible through a simple browser app.
Pick an open-source model, let it download, and run it locally. No installation, no account, no complicated setup.
It's a meaningful step from solving a technical problem to making the result useful to everyone.

Decentralized infrastructure becomes more useful when its different components can work together.
But connecting systems is only part of the challenge. The infrastructure between them needs to be reliable, too.
@b1m_ai tackles this through a network of independent operators, with parallel data transfers and the ability to reassign work when a worker stalls.
An interesting approach to building the connective infrastructure a decentralized ecosystem needs.
Explore Beam at b1m.ai.
A decentralized ecosystem needs more than individual subnets building great products.
It also needs infrastructure that helps those products and services work together.
@b1m_ai coordinates data transfers between existing systems, including cloud storage, compute environments and applications, using a decentralized network of operators.
Just as human-readable identity infrastructure helps connect wallets to names, Beam tackles the challenge of moving data between different systems.
Since launching earlier this year, we’ve crossed another big milestone.
2500+ human-readable .tao identities now exist on #Bittensor, bringing us one step closer to a more accessible, connected bittensor:native ecosystem.
Thank you to everyone who has registered a name, spread the word, and helped us get here.

We’re teaching AI to see the world, make decisions, and solve problems.
Yet even the most capable models have blind spots. Sometimes, all it takes is a few pixels.
@perturbaix is going after those blind spots on #Bittensor SN26.
🔎 Miners hunt for tiny changes that fool AI models.
✅ Validators confirm the attacks work.
⚡ The strongest attacks earn $TAO.

Imagine a robot that can recognize a cat in a photo.
Now change a few tiny pixels.
Suddenly, the robot sees something else.
You can barely spot the difference.
The AI gets it completely wrong.
What if we could find these weaknesses before someone exploits them?
@perturbaix makes it a competition on #Bittensor SN26. Miners discover the tricks that fool AI models. Validators verify them. The best attacks earn $TAO.
Attack AI before attackers do!

🔴 BREAKING NEWS
What if we could find the weaknesses in AI before someone exploits them?
That’s the idea behind @perturbaix on #Bittensor SN26.
Miners hunt for tiny image changes that fool AI models. Validators put each attack to the test. The more successful the attack, the bigger the $TAO reward.
This report from my alter ego Rana Arao is fictional 😅 The threat isn’t.

🚨 AI security is facing a much bigger problem than a single breach.
As AI agents become more autonomous, traditional security defenses are no longer enough.
At Perturb, we're tackling this challenge head-on through decentralized adversarial testing, continuous red teaming, and AI robustness research.
Our latest thought leadership piece on @hackernoon explores why the future of AI security must be proactive, not reactive.

This is genuinely cool, and such an obvious UX upgrade.
Why are we still copying and pasting long wallet addresses when we could just send $TAO to a name? 🤔
Every Bittensor wallet should support this.
@CrucibleLabs, @wearetalisman, @taodotcom, @taostats, @taoapp_.
Did you know you can already send and receive $TAO using .tao names in the @1taodotio wallet?
No more copying and pasting long wallet addresses. Just enter a .tao name and it resolves instantly to the correct wallet address.
Human-readable names. Seamless $TAO transfers.
Add the 1TAO Wallet Chrome extension and try it yourself 👇

“Machines will need identities.”
As the human and machine economies converge on #Bittensor, subnets like @OpenRoboto highlight why a reliable identity layer will become increasingly important.
Decentralised networks need more than infrastructure.
They need a way to identify who’s who.
Robots will need data. Machines will need identities. And both will need an economy
On Monday, @openroboto joins us to talk about how that economy gets built, and the part we’ll play in it together

The best way to support #Bittensor is to actively use the products and infrastructure its subnets are building.
Here’s my current stack 👇
🔘 SN19 @blockmachine_io
Archive node infrastructure for the @NameTensor indexer
🔘 SN64 @Chutes_AI
Inference with Qwen3-32B for Stitch3Validator.com
🔘 @1taodotio
Sending $TAO to .tao usernames instead of long wallet addresses
🔘 @Taostats + @Taoswap_org
API's powering various data features on @NameTensor
🔘 SN22 @desearch_ai
Retweet and quote data for Stitch3Validator.com
A few more I’d like to integrate:
🔜 @say_gm_ for cheap inference to power an AI assistant on @NameTensor
🔜 @SomaSubnet for context compression
🔜 @heydittoai for shared context and memory across AI tools
The goal is to use the ecosystem’s own products and infrastructure wherever they make sense.
What’s in your stack?
Here’s how to send $TAO using a human-readable .tao name in the @1taodotio wallet.
Simple. Seamless ⚡️

So many highlights from @ExploitSummit, but I had the most fun watching PitchTensor through the @SubnetSummerTAO livestream.
Watching two cracked teams pitch their ML ideas to a panel of #Bittensor OGs, and seeing them take their case to a live crowdfund on stage was a cool format. And @carbonphysicsai absolutely delivered.
500 $TAO raised in under 20 minutes to fund a subnet around physics AI. Huge statement.
The crowd has decided: Carbon wins Pitchtensor 2026.
Congratulations to @RyanBequette and @carbonphysicsai, pitching physics AI for engineering at Exploit Summit. Next stop: a Bittensor subnet, with @bitstarterAI.
Hosted by @macrozack, with judges @KeithSingery @MaxSebti @EvanMalanga @willobrien @macrocrux.

Not every .tao name registration ages well.
⚪️ A typo you only spotted afterwards.
⚪️ A subnet name that has since been deregistered.
⚪️ A project or brand that has moved on to a different name.
Your only option now is to list it on our Marketplace, but what if there was another option?
Something new is coming.
Introduced by @const_reborn at @ExploitSummit: GAMMA.
GAMMA is a proposed canonical standard for usage credits on #Bittensor, representing access to services provided by infrastructure subnets.
Unlike Alpha, which represents exposure to a subnet’s emissions, GAMMA is about actually using what a subnet provides.
Credits could eventually be purchased, held, transferred and used across Bittensor, with bridging enabling external usage too.
An important step toward a more interconnected $TAO economy.
Here is @const_reborn's full keynote at @ExploitSummit
It is worth the 36 minutes, but I'll give you the cliff notes.
> Affine 1, a model trained by anonymous miners entirely on Bittensor, matches the intelligence score of Anthropic's Opus 4.1.
> 23 of 128 subnets now have paying customers
> Gamma tokens are coming to turn subnet usage credits into something agents can buy from any chain.
> "We're not afraid of hyper-intelligent bot swarms on the internet. We use them to optimize our technology."
