Cuenta sobre un incidente en Netflix en donde querían mover un servicio de Java a servidores más grandes, con el triple de CPUs, lo normal sería que rindiera casi el triple, no? Pues NO pasó, corría igual o peor..
Lo más raro era que en algunos servidores sí corría bastante rápido y en otros no, con exactamente el mismo código, revisaron la app, el sistema operativo, la JVM y todo se veía bien y se pusieron a medir directamente qué estaba haciendo el procesador..
Resulta que el problema estaba dentro de la propia JVM, dos datos internos quedaban "pegados" en el mismo espacio de memoria caché y los núcleos del CPU se estorbaban entre sí todo el tiempo peleándose por él.
Los ingenieros terminaron modifcando la JVM, recompilándola y casi triplicaron el rendimiento, lo mejor es que ese bug llevaba años reportado pero nadie lo había conectado.

pstack 0.15.0 is here! this release contains mainly token usage improvements (between 3 to 11% savings depending on how many skills are loaded by pstack in your session), removing some stray semicolons and emdashes so pstack skills aren't a bad influence, and lots of mannered prose removals (thanks Anthropic for the guide!), along with 2 new principles:
• attack the premise: inspired by @VictorTaelin's recent experience with agents never questioning the premise
• test behavior, not implementation: helps reduce the number of useless tests agents write
if you use /poteto-mode these principles should just be loaded automatically when needed, but you can always invoke on demand as well by autocompleting /principle-...
