Another great reason to live off grid, we would thrive in this catastrophe, we have 3 months of food, easy, and by then our seeds would be producing veggies. 100lbs of rice and beans costs next to nothing and they are dry goods.
Replying to @Revelation1217
A total nationwide power loss for 6 months would cascade fast: food stocks empty in days as refrigeration and transport fail, water pumps and treatment stop, hospitals lose backup fuel, sanitation collapses into disease, and order frays. EMP Commission experts and related analyses put year-long outages at 60-90% mortality from starvation, illness, and unrest. At 6 months the toll would still be massiveβ€”most unprepared urban residents would not survive; rural/self-sufficient groups fare better. Exact rate is unknowable but far below normal.

Please pray for toddler Jovi, as she battles to recover from high risk brain tumor surgery (after being resuscitated multiple times). May the Lord stabilize her recovery and wrap her brave parents (pictured) in unshakeable peace. He is bigger than this and He is able. Thank you.

There is no such thing as an altar in the whole New Testament, and there is no such thing as a priest to attend to it either.
Watched a YouTube video where two Protestant pastors converted to Catholicism over primarily three things they found in the early church fathers that they didn't have as whatever brand of Protestantism they had: 1. Bishops 2. Altars 3. Real presence There were some other things, but these were the major points of emphasis Lutherans have all three Why do people go straight to the "nuclear option" and become Roman Catholic? Are they just unaware that we exist? Or is there a lot more they think Rome offers that we don't?

Almost every American military base gets its electricity from the same local utility that powers your house. For years, if that utility went down, a lot of bases had roughly 3 to 7 days of diesel before things started shutting off. Chinese state hackers spent at least five years sitting inside American utility networks before the government said so publicly. That's what the Pentagon's new 90-day order is about. People have been warning about this for a long time. A Defense Science Board report flagged it back in 2008. The 3-to-7-day number comes from a Pentagon official testifying to Congress in 2011, and he added that most of the pumps that move that fuel need grid power too. A 2021 rule raised the target to 14 days. Then in February 2024, CISA, the NSA and the FBI put out a joint warning about a Chinese hacking group called Volt Typhoon. It had footholds in American power, water, transportation and telecom networks going back at least five years. One target was water systems on Guam, the island the US would fly bombers from in a Pacific war. The head of NSA and Cyber Command said the weirdest part was that none of it had any intelligence value. A water utility doesn't have secrets worth stealing. What it does have is the ability to shut off a base's water. So here's the scenario war planners actually run. China moves on Taiwan. The US starts rushing ships, planes and munitions out of bases back home. Then the power and water at those bases start failing, and every day they're down is a day the response stalls. Hegseth announced the program, called FORTRESS, on Sept. 30. Over the weekend Fox reported the details: every major base in the continental US has to keep essential operations running for 90 days with no civilian power, water, fuel or comms, using microgrids, big batteries and small portable nuclear reactors. That's six times the 2021 target, and for now it's a goal on paper. The replies here are full of Masons and false flags. Neither Washington nor London has said a war is coming. The actual reason has been sitting in a public government advisory since 2024. If hackers were patient enough to sit inside the water system for five years, 90 days of backup starts to sound like the bare minimum.
JUST IN: πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ US military is preparing for the possibility of a major war that could cripple power grids, disrupt supply chains and threaten critical infrastructure on American soil, NYPost reports.

PREDICTION: in the next 2 weeks gas/diesel will crash and it will forever end all the "supply", "Lack of oil", "not enough refining capacity" etc arguments. All of a sudden supply & refinery capacity will be forgotten and we will KNOW it's 100% political.

Jesus said the β€œthe kingdom will be taken from you and given to another who will bear its fruit” When your job is taken from you and given to a new hire, that person is your replacement.
I've been listening to some dispensational podcasts as of late, and I keep bumping up against a problem. 🚦 According to a lot of dispensationalists, an interpreter holds to dispensationalism or "replacement theology." I'm a covenant theologian but I don't hold to replacement theology. The church doesn't replace Israel. The church is the CONTINUATION of true Israel in Christ. NT believers are joined to OT believers as the covenant community. That's not replacement.

When you don’t know what Gods Word says, it’s best to keep quiet to avoid looking foolish. The Bible explicitly forbids praying to the dead, Christian or non-Christian dead people.
If Protestants believe that every teaching of Christians must come from "Scripture alone", why do they forbid things that Scripture does not forbid? For example, Scripture never forbids Christians from praying to Christians who have died and risen with Christ. Why, then, do Protestants think that they must do so? Are they not breaking their own rule? Of course they are, because they do not actually believe in the absurd doctrine of "Sola Scriptura". It's only used when convenient to excuse their avoidance of Christian duties.

Please pray for a family member of mine who is coming to the end of their days. I planted what I could, and am relying on God. Please pray that she would receive what the Lord Jesus alone has done for her, if she hasn't. There are decades of religious walls infront of her ears.

My name is William Banks, and I am Thomas's son. It is with a heavy heart that I share that yesterday, my father was involved in a serious car accident. He is currently hospitalized and in stable condition, though he has sustained severe, life-threatening injuries. At this time, I can only ask that you keep my father in your thoughts and prayers as he faces what will undoubtedly be a difficult road ahead. I also ask that you keep my mother and brother in your prayers as our family navigates this incredibly difficult time, both emotionally and financially. My father has touched many lives, and I know how much he means to so many of you. Your friendship, prayers, and support mean more to our family than I can adequately express. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart. William Banks

β€œBut some of us have lived through experiences that make it impossible for us to dismiss the miraculous so casually.” Awesome testimony! β€οΈπŸ™ Exactly the same here brother, I’ve seen with my own eyes too many supernatural healings to ever be a cessationist.
There is a reason miracles are called miracles. They are occurrences that defy ordinary human explanation, events that cannot readily be accounted for by what we know through science, medicine, or everyday experience. And that is precisely why it can be so difficult to convince someone who wasn't there that a genuine problem existed and was resolved in a way nobody could explain. You're entitled to your opinion, including the belief that prayers can't heal sickness except through medical intervention. But some of us have lived through experiences that make it impossible for us to dismiss the miraculous so casually. Of course, I am not denying that fake miracles exist. There are many, sometimes in the very places where we should least expect such deception. Some people manufacture testimonies, exploit the vulnerable, and turn supposed demonstrations of God's power into opportunities for personal fame, financial gain, and religious influence. Such dishonesty deserves to be exposed, not defended. But the existence of counterfeits does not establish that everything is counterfeit. I, for one, will never be found ridiculing the supernatural. For a start, the salvation we have received in Christ as believers is itself a supernatural work of God. I believe in a God I cannot see, yet whose reality I have come to know through His Word and whose workings I have witnessed in my own life and in the lives of others. And beyond what I believe, there are things I have personally experienced that I simply cannot explain away as coincidence. Let me share something from my own family. Around 1991, my mother gave birth to our fourth child, my younger sibling, who was blind from birth. He had never seen anything. Even the appearance and pigmentation of his eyes made it obvious that something was terribly wrong with his eyes. My parents sought medical help. They consulted doctors and were told that, humanly speaking, there was no hope of him ever seeing. Some consultants suggested seeking further medical attention abroad. But how could my parents, who were struggling financially, possibly afford such a journey, let alone the medical expenses involved, even if the help was possible? This was not some story invented for a church testimony. My parents lived through it. My other siblings remember it. Neighbours, relatives, and family friends knew about his condition. We had a child in our home who could not see and depended on others for assistance. Then something happened. A colleague of my mother's invited her to a church programme around Owiniboys, Taiwo Road, in Ilorin. My mother attended with my sibling. And it was there that something happened which, to this day, I can only describe as a miracle. The child who had never seen from birth began to see. He returned home able to use his eyes, and his life changed. He began doing things independently that he had previously needed help to accomplish. I understand perfectly well how unbelievable that sounds to someone who wasn't there. I also understand that a personal testimony is not the same thing as independently documented medical evidence. But I cannot pretend that something my family lived through never happened simply because someone else finds it difficult to believe. And that is only one experience among many. I could recount other extraordinary events involving members of my immediate family, friends, and colleagues. In fact, there are testimonies I would rather not even share publicly, because unless you know me personally or I show you the evidence of what actually happened, you might find them too incredible to believe. But whether or not someone believes these accounts does not change what we experienced or witnessed firsthand. Besides, why do we so often restrict our discussions of miracles to physical healing? God's extraordinary interventions, as believers understand them, are not limited to sickness. There are circumstances involving provision, deliverance, protection, and seemingly impossible situations that people have experienced and cannot easily explain. You may ridicule such testimonies if you wish. That does not trouble me. What I will not do is allow the existence of fraudulent miracle workers to persuade me that God has ceased to work miraculously. And my conviction is not founded on personal experience alone. It is also grounded in Scripture. Jesus declared in John 14:12: β€œVerily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” It is important that you focus on His language: β€œHe that believeth on me.” Jesus did not explicitly restrict this promise to the apostles or declare that His works would cease when the New Testament canon was completed. Now, I recognize that Christians differ over the meaning of the β€œgreater works,” particularly whether the emphasis falls on the worldwide expansion of the gospel after Christ's glorification or also encompasses miraculous works. But the works of Jesus in John's Gospel included both His teaching and His signs. I see no sufficient biblical reason to conclude that God has categorically withdrawn His ability or willingness to heal miraculously through His people. We see the Holy Spirit working powerfully in the early church, and Paul speaks of gifts of healing and workings of miracles among the gifts distributed by the Spirit according to His will (1 Cor. 12:9–11). That is one reason I cannot embrace the claim that such works must necessarily have ceased. But believing in miracles does not mean we consider God unfaithful or powerless when we pray for healing and the healing does not come. Our confidence in His power is not diminished by a lack of a miracle. It does not mean we despise doctors, reject medical treatment, or discourage people from seeking proper healthcare. Medicine itself is a provision for which we should be grateful to God. Trusting God and seeking medical help are not mutually exclusive. Nor does it mean that whenever healing fails to come, the sufferer lacks faith or God has abandoned them. We pray. We trust. We seek help. Sometimes we witness extraordinary answers. At other times, we endure suffering, waiting upon the Lord and learning to trust Him even when the outcome is not what we hoped for. Our faith is not sustained merely by the miracles we receive, but by the God in whom we have believed. And there is something even more glorious about the Christian hope: no healing we experience in this present world is the final healing. Even those who are miraculously healed remain subject to sickness, ageing, suffering, and eventually death. The greatest restoration still awaits us in the resurrection, when Christ will transform our mortal bodies and God will bring His people into the fullness of His new creation (1 Cor. 15:42–54; Rev. 21:4). That is the healing for which every child of God can ultimately hope with certainty. And to fellow believers, never stop trusting God for healing, provision, deliverance, or help in circumstances beyond your strength. But never stop loving Him when the answer you desire does not come. Whether He heals us now, sustains us through suffering, or raises us in glory at the resurrection, His faithfulness remains unchanged. And above every miracle we could ever experience stands the greatest hope of all: Jesus Christ, crucified and risen, through whom God has promised the final redemption of His people.
