Danish actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, best known for playing Jaime Lannister in Game of Thrones and serving as a UN Development Programme Goodwill Ambassador, has arrived in Ukraine. During his visit, he attended "A One-Day Hero" play, staged by the Mykola Kulish Kherson Oblast Academic Music and Drama Theatre. The play was written and performed by Volodymyr Tuka, a theatre actor, musician, and veteran of Russia’s war against Ukraine. Coster-Waldau said the performance moved him deeply. 💭 “I was very touched by the play. I think trying to put into words the madness of the past four years was a very brave thing to do, and it was deeply moving to see an actor share his story so generously,” he said. "A One-Day Hero" is based on Tuka’s play Play22, or The Hero’s Journey. It tells the personal story of a veteran from Kherson who lived through Russian occupation, joined the fight to defend Ukraine, and was wounded in combat. The production is dedicated to all service members killed on their very first combat mission. Source: Suspilne
