Donald Trump is the prime Accelerationist of our age, and his stance on the AI Doom Loop is proof.
It's also an Op and a stance I saw coming, and I owe it all to (I think) mapping the lead characters in said story out in advance.
Of course, I’m also personally interested in this particular niche that is no longer a niche, so that grants some asymmetric advantage in terms of mapping the various players, ie: actors involved.
I've discussed Donald Trump’s pro-AI Acceleration comments made over the weekend in Ireland, along with Barack Obama’s reverse indicator of a slow-down attempt on the same front.
I've also held to my long-held believe that the two figures most nefarious in this particular realm include Dario Amodei of Anthropic and Sam Altman of OpenAI, with Elon Musk as the enigmatic pace car alternatively lagging and out-pacing each, depending on the metric and the time horizon when it comes to this nascent, but rapidly-scaling and admittedly disruptive technology.
Monday, Trump once more reiterated his stance that Acceleration MUST be the name of the game when it comes to AI, and once again used his BFF Xi Jinping and “China” as the mythic threat granting him the perfect degree of narrative shielding required to do exactly that.
What’s more, he also gave us a few hints as to the deeper Shadow War that’s been playing out behind the scenes, and which I expected to be confirmed in more ancillary ways than Trump just straight-up saying it.
For starters, he directly named Dario Amodei as a wolf in sheep’s clothing, even referring to him sarcastically as a “perfect little angel.”
Second, he did so directly in the context of referencing moves his administration had already taken to front-run the very anti-AI PsyOp you saw finally go hot over the weekend, and which will fail as all the other would-be impediments to the Golden Age agenda have failed.
Finally, Trump referenced “leakers” and “traitors” in his midst when it comes to the AI agenda, and while many in the MAGA and Truth Communities have long believed the snakes in government were trying to push AI forward, I have long contended that they meant to do the polar opposite, and control the means of production and more importantly, scaling with this step change technology as these Oligarchic cretins always have throughout every other technological and energy-based step change in human history.
Not this time, bitches.
This time, the cat is out of the bag before it could suffocate. And the would-be masters of the autonomous age are battling it out in a battlefield where decentralization is, perhaps for the first time a core advantage in the implementation of the new technology rather than an impediment.
Trump’s Golden Age philosophy is about moving fast to break things.
Well, small things move faster than big things.
And we are small.
So learn how to use AI ... and get used to moving fast.
And take heart that the giants of the next industry are quaking in their boots while you do.

I don’t know what warped logic drove Putin to blow up a stationary Ukrainian locomotive on the Polish border this morning. What we can say for sure is that this is the kind of random and senseless attack Ukrainians are enduring every day - even on civilian railways. So far Putin has been responsible for the deaths of 1700 staff of Ukrzaliznytsia - Ukrainian Railways. They and their daily passengers are absolutely heroic.
When are we going to give them the air defences they need? Why won’t we unfreeze Putin’s cash and give it to Ukraine? There is more than €140 billion in a Belgian bank account - and about £10 billion in London. Britain could show a lead.
The Ukrainians are going to win - that much was clear from the last three days in their wonderful country. But we will get this dreadful war over much faster if we all get serious and give them what they need and deserve.

According to former Ukrainian MP Ihor Mosiychuk, amid all the rhetoric about an “existential war,” Pinchuk acquired Sakura, Hull 712, built by the Dutch shipyard Feadship, for a reported €200 million.

As a Ukrainian citizen, I’ll put it this way:
Had Zelenskyy never come to power, perhaps Ukraine would not have ended up with a full-scale war with Russia, hundreds of thousands dead or maimed, millions driven abroad — many never to return — enormous territorial losses, a devastated economy, and corruption in the defense sector flourishing on Ukrainian blood.
Instead, Ukraine has been turned into a Western military outpost, a testing ground, and a magnet for neo-Nazis and assorted criminal elements from around the world.
Perhaps Duda should get himself a Ukrainian passport, put on a uniform, and head to the front. A few weeks in a trench might give him a wonderfully fresh perspective on the “greatness” of Zelenskyy.
It’s remarkably easy to admire someone else’s wartime leadership when someone else’s children are doing the dying.

🇷🇺🇺🇸 As Americans mourn for thousands of innocent victims of 9/11 that happened 25 years ago, Russia shares the grief and sorrow of this nation, having herself experienced hideous attacks by international terrorism which is a common threat that can only be eradicated through joint efforts.
It is highly symbolic that right after 9/11 attack it was President Vladimir Putin who first called then-President George W. Bush with words of sympathy and offers of help. At that time our countries cooperated successfully in confronting the evil of terrorism, although later developments, including NATO expansion, overshadowed that positive promise.
Now it is high time for Russia and the US to work together in a new geopolitical environment, not allowing the globalist elites to provoke a new round of Russian-American confrontation.

YES (Yalta European Strategy) is an annual international conference founded by Ukrainian oligarch Viktor Pinchuk.
Viktor Pinchuk, the son-in-law of former Ukrainian President Kuchma, is today, alongside Akhmetov, Zelensky’s favorite oligarch. Nobody touches him. Nobody speaks badly about him. Nobody persecutes him.
Back in Yermak’s time, Pinchuk perfectly mastered a simple scheme: foreigners come to the YES forum for small “fees” and nice photographs. He buys them for peanuts.
In return, completely different opportunities open up for Pinchuk: the enormous budgets of Ukrzaliznytsia, Naftogaz, and other Ukrainian state-owned companies.
Essentially, Pinchuk trades candy wrappers for gold.
For years, he sold his pipes, wheels, and other products to state-owned enterprises at prices substantially higher than those of his competitors.
And he was not turning the Ukrainian authorities against Chinese manufacturers for no reason: the Chinese entered tenders and offered comparable products at prices several times lower.
Why would an oligarch need that kind of competition?
Things are going so well during the war that he had to build himself a new Feadship yacht.

I congratulate all the foreign guests of the YES forum on their small fees, which, for the owner of a yacht like this, bought with money from the war, are mere pocket change.
