a lot of decision models came out in the last two months. almost all of them work the same way. they read text, wait until the whole input has arrived, and then give you an answer that works for a support ticket. it doesn’t work for a robot, a phone call, or a video feed, where the input never really ends and the decision has to happen while it is still coming in so we spent half of our YC money training a model:) RightNow takes text, PDFs, images, voice, code, robot state and video, all in one model, and you can stream up to 1M tokens of context into it. it updates its decision as each piece arrives. on text it decides in 30 ms and we will make it less with our kernel optimization we trained it with what we call Reflex Training. the current decision models read everything first and answer once. RightNow is trained to decide on whatever has arrived so far, to hold back until the evidence is there, and then commit. it serves on what we call Reflex Architecture which keeps a probability for every option and updates it as each part of the input comes in we call this kind of model “System Zero”. system 1 is fast thinking and system 2 is slow reasoning. system zero is the step that comes before both, which is just deciding we will publish a technical paper on Reflex Training and Reflex Architecture. the model itself will stay closed source and available via RightNow API this is our first checkpoint and it’s still a little buggy. we launched it early because the fastest way to make it good is to have people use it:)
RightNow is out today. our first “System Zero” model it streams in text, JSON, PDFs, images, voice, codebases, robot state and video, and returns a decision with a probability for every option while the input is still arriving 30 ms decisions on text. up to 1,024 questions in one call. output is free system 1 is fast thinking. system 2 is slow reasoning. “System Zero” is the step before both -- the decision itself this is our first checkpoint. there is a lot of work ahead, and we decided to ship early to get your feedback. more features and fixes are shipping this week, with more checkpoints after rightnowai.co

This is next level! Perfect solution. Hope it really works! I badly need one.
We’ve raised $1.3M from YC & Afore Capital so you never have to type or speak again. Typing is slow. Talking into your computer is awkward. Subvocal fixes both Our glasses give you the speed of speech without you making a sound or touching a keyboard. It tracks your internal speech muscles with non-contact sensing and decodes silent, almost invisible mouthing into text at more than 200 words/min. Pre-orders are now live at: subvocal.co/preorder?utm_sou…

Built Omni API because I was done running a separate terminal for every model. Chat, TTS, STT, embeddings, image, video: one local port, small default models, any OpenAI SDK works. Switch models from a playground, no CLI. For learning and prototyping. github.com/nvkudva/omni-api

Built Hyperlight, an experimental Spotlight replacement on EmbeddingGemma 2. Great learning all the way. Try it or read the code: github.com/nvkudva/HyperLigh… #EmbeddingGemma #OnDeviceAI

1/4 Meet Qwenputer: Qwen3.5-4B with a full RISC-V CPU inside its weights, using the model's own Gated DeltaNet layers as RAM. It runs C and MicroPython in its forward passes, no external runtime. On DeepMind math: base 55–90%, base + Python tool 95–100%, Qwenputer 97.5–100%.

Introducing Flint, @Recursive_SI’s first model: a fast local coding model built with our automated research system, the Eureka Machine. • Best-in-class fast local coding • Up to 2x faster than comparable models: 125+ tokens/sec on a MacBook Pro, 150+ on RTX Spark • Built from scratch in under 4 months Private, unmetered intelligence on your own machine. Open weights available now on @huggingface, run it locally on your favorite framework or try it for free on @opencode or @pidotdev.

Here is Super Flash! When I was young, Macromedia Flash my favorite! It was bought by Adobe, disappeared from browsers later. The tool that once dominated the web now lives on the web! Live super-flash.nvkudva.workers.… Source github.com/nvkudva/super-fla… #MacromediaFlash #Adobe #AI

The Tesla Roadster can create ~2Gs of downforce using high-speed electric fans mounted underneath the car. Unlike a traditional car that needs high speeds for meaningful downforce, the Roadster can create ~4700 kg at a standstill. Thanks John for this vid!

Vega 0.8B in your browser — no API, no server, nothing leaves the tab. Typed decision model by Nandakishor M (Convai): state + choice/score/yes-no questions in, calibrated probabilities out. I ported it to onnxruntime-web, text + image states. #jev #typesafe #open #decisionmodel

vegaml just grew a whole toolbelt. All shipped this week, all Apache 2.0: - CLI, HTTP server, MCP server, Docker image - ONNX export and a torch-free MLX engine for Apple silicon - pydantic models as question sheets - a cascade: the 0.8B answers what it can settle, the 4B gets the rest, and what neither can settle is handed to you instead of guessed - calibrate(): refit the probabilities on 30 of your own labels - vegaml-eval: accuracy, calibration error and conformal coverage on your data, not mine - LangChain + LangGraph: route a graph or gate an input at decision-model speed pip install vegaml. Turns out a lot of people wanted a Mac image editor with no subscription. 75,000 downloads in 3 weeks. Thank you! robbietilton.com/compositor
I built a Photoshop-like image editor. It’s called Compositor. robbietilton.com/compositor I originally built it for myself to get off my Adobe subscription, but decided to release it for free and make it open source. It has all the essential tools I need for compositing, with none of the BS. I know this workflow is kind of archaic in 2026, but I’m still using it until AI can actually get pixel-perfect on some of the details. The entire app is 12MB. Photoshop is 6,455MB on my machine.
