Yesterday, September 19, 2026, the Palestine International Center convened the “Generations of Liberation” conference at al-Jinan Hall at al-Batoul Secondary School in Beirut, bringing together representatives of Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement (Masar Badil), alongside the Generations of Liberation Movement, youth and student delegations from several countries, international Palestine-solidarity activists, and Palestinians from refugee camps across Lebanon. Held under the slogan, “If we do not have the ability to liberate Palestine today, then it is our responsibility to prepare the generation of victory and liberation,” the conference focused on organizing Palestinian youth in the camps and diaspora around a shared national vision and developing mechanisms for collective action. The Palestine Information Center’s report noted the following: “Ra’fat Murra, Hamas’s official responsible for mass mobilization in Lebanon, emphasized that the conference’s importance lies in bringing together Palestinian youth from various age groups and refugee camps and working to build bonds among them within a shared national vision. Murra said that the conference’s significance lies in bringing together Palestinian youth of all age groups and from various Palestinian refugee camps, with the aim of working to build a generation of liberation. He explained that preparing this generation requires raising awareness among young people and instilling in them the idea of Palestine, as well as organizing workshops that foster bonds and cohesion among them, leading to the establishment of mechanisms that enable them to think and act collectively. He said, ‘If we want to prepare the generation of liberation, we must educate these young people and instill in them the idea of Palestine, and have them participate in workshops that foster bonds and cohesion among them, so that we can establish a mechanism to think together about how to liberate Palestine.’ He also thanked the residents of the Palestinian refugee camps for their attendance and participation, noting that this participation reflects a strong sense of responsibility. He pointed out that the young people who participated in the conference affirmed their love for Palestine and their readiness to play their part, adding: ‘They are indeed the next generation of liberation.’”
