This is the biggest launch in the history of Display. As part of building this, we rewrote the whole underlying engine to support the much richer experience where you, your teammates and agents can work together.
Just 6 months ago, Display didn't yet exist. It was just an idea in our heads. So we built the small product and it's now used by more than 4000 people around the world. That's the @slashdisplay you know. Today, we're launching Display 1.0, the next phase and it's live on Product Hunt. We're introducing so many new things today, it's basically a whole new product. So our pitch is this: create docs and apps with any agent, in one workspace. Think of this as the GitHub for all your company's knowledge work, or an agent-native replacement for Notion. What's new in Display 1.0 > Spaces and Folders – give each team its own Space, and each client its own shared folder and decide who can see what. Organise work into Folders inside Spaces. >Storage – store and access any file type in your workspace. HTML, Markdown, PDF, images, videos – whatever you and your agents create and need storage for. > Storage – store and access any file type in your workspace. HTML, Markdown, PDF, images, videos – whatever you and your agents create and need storage for. > New Access Controls – introducing a more familiar Google Workspace-styled permissions matrix with editor, contributor, commenter and viewer roles. > User Groups – put people into groups and share any Space, folder or doc with the whole group at once. > External contributors – updated access controls also let you give commenting and editing access for docs to external guests. Combined with Spaces and Folders, you can now create dedicated client spaces where you work together on any agent or human created doc with your partners. > Internal Knowledge Base – the new document storage, spaces, and updated search let you create an internal knowledge base of all your company's know-how, providing context for everything your agents do next. We have internal apps and data connectors working in private beta, available shortly to everyone. So my ask is this - please head over to Product Hunt and give us an upvote!

Lean AI-powered teams are the future. For us, it's a major advantage for moving fast. When a customer sends us feedback, we have a quick chat. If the change makes sense for the product and is useful for other customers, we can ship it immediately.

I'm organising a protest against seat-based pricing for software Everything should be priced flat as far as I'm concerned. This is how we’re going about it.

I'm organising the largest seat-based protest in London on 3 November. 20 days to commission a chair bigger than an African elephant, find a spot and not get sued.

One cool use case for visualize is direction brainstorming. Visualize is your companion for building single-purpose landing pages, prototypes and mockups. Full tutorial here: youtube.com/watch?v=BXLOGFNU…

the product-film skill lets anyone create great-looking product videos with real UI a couple of days ago I shared our visualize skill for creating beautiful-looking docs without the usual AI slop on reddit multiple people reached out and asked how I'd made the product video that introduced it. truth be told, it's an internal skill we've iterated on over the last month - we built our web hero video and multiple feature launch films with it. when people on reddit asked, I made it public – you can now add the product-film skill here: github.com/display-dev/produ…

One of the common cases for using Display
Recorded a walkthrough of how I brainstorm and prototype landing pages. Claude Code + Display and a little bit of creativity is all you need. See the full version here lnkd.in/ewz4a7hT

Say goodbye to screenshots and annotations Introducing Capture by Display, the Chrome extension for scanning and sharing websites. Capture any page and get full fidelity HTML in return. Add comments to the page and publish a copy to Display. This replaces annotated screenshots with fully functioning sites you can collaborate on with other people and agents. Use it to: - Review pages and test website copy. - Report problems you find on your site. - Capture and comment on a client's website and share the results with one link. - Save a copy of any page, such as a competitor's pricing page. - Comment on your docs, help articles and blog posts.

The first time one of my investors tried Display, they had a request – add a Claude connector. Figuring out how to add MCPs, creating custom connectors or trying to install CLI tools has so much unnecessary friction. Native connectors are simple - click, authenticate and use. Today, we're launching the Claude connector for Display. This makes the very first step for using display.dev that much easier. The connector has every Display tool available to it – publish docs to an open workspace, share and iterate on them them with your team and more. Install Display to your Claude workspace here: claude.ai/directory/display

For 4 months, this has been my most-used skill. Now it's open-source. Visualize creates beautiful, on-brand HTML docs without the usual AI slop. We built the skill, because we were getting different, AI-look docs every time the Claude created a report or presentation we needed. This skill teaches the agent your brand once and then builds documents that look like it every time thereafter. It's got a few interesting aspects: - 35 document templates (report, deck, one-pager etc) - 40 built-in design systems, if you need to choose a different direction than your own brand - an exploration mode that lets you prototype different visual directions for a solution – I've mostly used this for feature development, when I don't know what visual shape a feature should take - 6 simple instructions: polish, animate, simplify, bolder, quieter and review that let you make simple changes It's been incredibly useful for us – hope it's useful for you, too. usevisualize.ai/

Proud to announce usevisualize.ai It's a design skill we've been using a lot internally and decided not to gatekeep anymore. Find setup instructions and examples on the link. Hope you'll have as much fun using it as I do!
Our internal visualization companion goes public! How to access it? 1. Go to usevisualize.ai 2. Copy the setup prompt 3. Let your agent do the rest Now start designing beautiful on-brand HTML docs without the AI-default slop.

Today, we release Edit at display.dev. This is a small big deal. Life's pretty simple with Edit - if you want to make an edit, simply do it right there on the page. > Write a new headline. > Add a bullet point to a list. > Create a simple table. This works on all HTML and Markdown docs. The workflow is still agent-native - agents do the main work. Now its simple to make small edits. Edit away.

This is the most anticipated product change in our team. Bye bye, Notion
Edit your work on directly on Display. Introducing in-line editing. Every prototype, presentation, report or other can now be modified as you see it. No new prompts for every small change, because you can make changes right on the spot.

We launched the docs collaboration workspace for GPT-6 Sol. Meet Display. It's the place where people and agents work together. GPT-6 Sol is the perfect example of how strong models enable people to get more done. Agents create so much useful knowledge work. Display gives that work a place for sharing, collaboration and iteration. It's the Notion for the AI era.

So a few weeks ago I interviewed our customer Rory from @Kogan, Australia's largest e-commerce business. They have 150 people using @slashdisplay across Kogan and @MightyApe. What started out as some super users wanting a place to publish the "things" agents create (their word, not mine!), has turned into a workspace used by the majority of the company. For us, Rory and the Kogan team have been incredibly helpful with feature suggestions and product improvements – we've been able to ship multiple important product updates with their input. For my money, the most interesting factoid was that they're running 6 different agents across the organisation (and testing even more). People choose whatever tools they like and use them. This approach comes directly from the founder who wants Kogan to learn AI as fast as possible.
