As a Norwegian and a human being I applaud the destruction of the Russian economy and celebrate every refinery going up in smoke from Sevastopol to Ufa. It will save Ukrainian lives. And eventually European lives too.

Many of these Ukrainian guys who returned home from Russian captivity in today's latest prisoner exchange had been held in enemy dungeons since 2022. Marines who defended Mariupol back then... it feels like an entire era of the world ago.
Among them are five guys who had previously been believed killed in the mass murder of Ukrainian POWs at the Russian concentration camp in Olenivka.

Det hastige toppmøtet i Oslo gir Norge en unik mulighet til å påvirke Europas skjebne - ikke bare være en mellommann. Nå når Trump aktivt støtter Putin er Ukrainas situasjon kritisk. Vi er de eneste som har flust med penger. Regjeringen bør tilby at Norge stiller som garantist for de 300 mrd € frosset i Belgia slik at Russlands pengebinge kan gå til Ukraina. Neste steg: få JEF og alle andre som melder seg med på en plan om å stenge Vest-Ukraina for russiske droner og missiler.

Russian troops struck a central park in Nova Vodolaha when it was crowded with people. Families with children were spending time in the park.
An infant in a stroller and two women were killed. At least 14 people were injured, including seven children.
Earlier today, Lavrov claimed that Russia had “never attacked civilian infrastructure in Ukraine unless it involved facilities that facilitate terrorist attacks in Russia.”

Imagine what Russia could have been. Your children studying at universities in Paris, Oxford or Berlin. Families spending summers on the Mediterranean, skiing in the Alps, discovering Rome, Barcelona and Copenhagen. Russian scientists working alongside Europe's finest minds. Businesses flourishing, borders opening, young Russians falling in love, travelling freely and building prosperous lives in the world's most extraordinary neighbourhood.
And Russia's vast oil wealth could have continued filling the national savings account, building a financial cushion for a rainy day and securing the prosperity of future generations. Instead, that fortune has been drained by war, and the country's financial future has been mortgaged to one man's imperial ambitions.
You had an entire continent on your doorstep, ready to trade, cooperate and prosper.
Instead, you have sanctions, burning oil facilities, military funerals, censorship and a generation sacrificed to one elderly man's imperial fantasies. Children raised on militaristic propaganda, families struggling with poverty and alcoholism, and young men sent to die in Ukrainian fields.
And your great international friendship? North Korea. A miserable dictatorship famous for prison camps, hunger, compulsory displays of loyalty and children taught to march in formation.
Now Russia's future is increasingly tied to the failed Trump regime. And if you believe a man whose business empire has seen six corporate bankruptcies involving casinos and hotels is going to rescue the Russian economy, you may be in for another disappointment. Sorry, but Donald Trump is not Russia's financial salvation.
You could have shared Europe's prosperity. Instead, Putin has brought you closer to Pyongyang, with a bankrupt casino magnate as your supposed lifeline.
What a catastrophic waste of a great country's future.

BREAKING: Ukraine has just struck the St. Petersburg oil port and set it ablaze, with massive fires rising, one of Russia's largest fuel storage and export facilities.
Zelensky said two days ago that Ukraine will restart major strikes on Russian energy. "The block on attacking refineries is out. We're done."
