Modi ji talking about the rooftop solar scheme today and the numbers are actually wild. Target was 1 crore homes. In just about two years, 65 lakh households have already got panels. Every six days, another one lakh homes are joining.
Their electricity bills have dropped by around 76%. Many have zero bills now. Some are even selling extra power back to the grid and earning from it.
When government buildings alone are saving ₹700 crore a year from solar, you realise this isn’t just a scheme anymore… it’s becoming normal life for lakhs of families.
