A year ago today, we became Superhuman, a new name to reflect our expanded mission and suite of products. The year has been full of new products, new team members, and an expanded vision of what’s possible, but the absolute best part about this year has been the customers. We are so thankful to the people, the companies, and the schools that use our products every day. We are designing and building and testing alongside you. Here are just a few things we’ve done: - We launched Superhuman Go, the AI assistant and agent platform that works in every app and tab. - Coda became Superhuman Docs, debuting a new visual identity as well as new products and features like fan-favorite AI views. - Mail got a complete mobile redesign, and its new brand identity joined the Superhuman family. The new Mail apps are faster and easier to use. - We welcomed several companies into the Superhuman family, including Rows, GPTZero, and, most recently, Fathom. One year in, and we really are just getting started.

In Portugal, <50% of children walk to school In private schools I’d say 10% or less
In Oslo, 79% of children walk to school. 79% is an ASTONISHINGLY high rate! Oslo children can walk to school because they live NEAR their school. Oslo is made up of courtyard blocks, which create a form of urban density that works beautifully for families because it provides a YARD

To the attention of my friend engineers and founders who prefer to commute from far.
Reminder not having a long commute is one of the biggest life upgrades. You never normalize against this, like you would a very good or very bad event (the commuting paradox, described in the Scandinavian Journal of Economics). Moving closer to work or going remote is worth it

Several people I respect are in favor of European federalization. France poses as the worse case scenario: a federal union where countries are forced to follow each others bad financial decisions. Strong deficits, no growth, political unrest. With so many dangers, I prefer competition from different EU economies, so that we can copy from the better ones. It’s possible under federalization, but the incentives aren’t there atm.
Denmark is raising its retirement age to 70. French election candidates pledge to reducing it to 60 or 62. Denmark's debt to GDP ratio is 27%; France's is 117%. You reap what you sow. cnn.com/2025/05/23/business/…

The sheer will and violence VCs expect of their dream entrepreneur
The knife fight in JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 3 (2019) is pure chaos. Chad Stahelski deliberately made the knives miss most of the time, turning the fight into what he called a “snowball fight with knives.” That’s what makes it so damn satisfying to watch.

Clear and obvious
Qualcomm CEO reveals AI companies want phones running 100-billion-parameter models continuously by 2028--and confirms some are building phones Cristiano Amon: “I have to be careful not to disclose names, but some AI companies—some of the companies at the forefront of AI—are telling Qualcomm, ‘By 2028, I need to make sure that I have the ability to run at least a 100-billion-parameter model in a phone, and I need to have this thing running kind of all the time.’” Alex Heath: “So you’re saying there are AI companies that are talking about—” Cristiano Amon: “Well, AI companies are starting to do phones.”
