Haven’t posted a Steven Scholes painting for a long time.
Remedied immediately by this one
I’ve loved his work a long time but he was over posted by some tweeters ( not me)

My new collection of one-off necklaces I've made using Victorian and Edwardian stamp holders, lockets and charms along with tiny nature finds I've cast in recycled silver is now in my Etsy shop. It would help so much if you could give this a RT if you get a moment (huge thanks): etsy.com/uk/shop/silverpebbl…

🚨 PLEASE HELP US KEEP GOING 🚨
I need to be completely honest with you.
Dogs on the Streets is struggling financially.
The number of people and dogs needing our help has become overwhelming.
Every day, another desperate call comes in. Veterinary care. Foster care. Food. Emergency support. And sometimes, simply being there for someone who has nobody else.
I just cannot turn them away.
But the reality is that we cannot continue without financial support.
I am a director of this charity and take zero pay. I am a volunteer, just like so many others who give their time because they care.
We don't have a fancy PR team. We don't have paid promoters. We don't have big corporate backing.
We are simply people trying to help people and their dogs through some incredibly difficult circumstances.
And I am exhausted — mentally and physically.
Tomorrow I am having scans and tests because of health issues that have started to arise. I know I need to look after myself, but when that phone rings and someone desperately needs help, I struggle to walk away.
How do you tell someone who has lost everything that we can't help because the money has run out?
I don't want that to happen.
We currently believe we have around TWO MONTHS financially to continue providing the level of support that is desperately needed.
So today, I am asking you — please help us.
🙏 If you can donate, no matter how small, please do.
🐾 If you can't donate, please share this post.
❤️ If you've ever believed in what Dogs on the Streets stands for, please stand with us now.
Your donation could help provide veterinary treatment.
It could help keep a dog safely with the person they love.
It could help feed someone who is struggling.
Or it could simply mean that when someone reaches the end of their tether and picks up the phone, there is still someone there to answer.
We need you.
Please don't let us have to say, "I'm sorry, we can't help."

Poor Cornetto urinates himself if you simply look at him or get too close. 💔
How can a three-year-old Galgo end up in this condition if hunters love their dogs so much?
He isn’t even prepared for the most basic things in life.
Cornetto deserves so much better. Let’s get him out of the kennels and into a loving home where he can finally feel safe and learn what kindness is ❤️
A simple share could change his whole world.
Please help Cornetto. 🙏🐾

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL DOG DAY!
Although if you asked the 80-ish dogs currently living at DOTS, they'd tell you every day should be International Dog Day.
Frankly, they have a point.
Today we're celebrating every dog that's walked, bounced, dragged, slobbered, zoomied and occasionally completely ignored us through our gates.
Some are here because their owner has been rushed into hospital, is fleeing domestic violence, experiencing homelessness or facing another crisis. For them, we're the safe place in the middle until hopefully we can put that lead back into the hand of the person they love.
Others have been abandoned or sadly have nobody coming back for them. They stay with us while we find the right next chapter.
Some arrive frightened. Some arrive bouncing off the walls. Others eat their dinner, find the comfiest bed and apparently decide they've booked an all-inclusive.
Looking after 80+ dogs means a LOT of food, treats, bedding, enrichment, vet care and frankly obscene amounts of washing powder.
So today, could you:
Buy a dog their dinner. Send something from our wishlist. Or donate just £1.
If every DOTS follower gave £1 today, imagine how many dogs we could help tomorrow.
DONATE:
dogsonthestreets.org/donate-…
WISHLIST:
dogsonthestreets.org/wishlis…
Can't donate? Share us. It's free and could put DOTS in front of a donor, fosterer or a dog's future family.
Happy International Dog Day from all of us at DOTS and around 80 + very opinionated residents.
Give your dog an extra biscuit.
We won't tell the vet. 😁🧡

Dolly Parton just passed away at 80 years old. She spent her final years as a CAREGIVER, doing what 63 million Americans do every day: caring full-time for the person she loved most - her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean.
Before she passed, Dolly admitted something that I found totally heartbreaking: while caregiving for him, she completely neglected her own health, skipping doctors visits and ignoring her symptoms.
I think Dolly's honesty points to three hard truths caregivers face. First, chronic physical decline, as AARP finds 1 in 4 caregivers say their own health has suffered. Second, the "widowhood effect," where a surviving spouse faces a significantly higher risk of death in the 12 to 18 months after their partner passes. And third, the sudden loss of purpose when intensive caregiving abruptly ends.
Dolly died about a year after her husband. She leaves behind a rich legacy and a life of purpose and helping others. May she rest in peace. 🙏
If you are caregiving for a spouse or an aging parent, please remember what they tell you on airplanes: put on your own oxygen mask first. Taking care of your health isn't selfish but absolutely necessary.
Please share this with a caregiver who needs to hear the reminder today, and let's honor Dolly's legacy. ❤️

The company can start on August 24 but we need to pay 50% deposit beforehand and the remainder within seven days of completion. 🙏
