STANOVANJA: Napaka, ki jo naredijo mnogi vključno z Evropsko Komisijo je, da navajajo odstotek gospodinjstev v javnih / neprofitnih najemih v celotnem stanovanjskem fondu ob tem pa ne upoštevajo deleža gospodinjstev z lastniškim stanovanjem.
Npr. Hrvaška ima 90% delež gospodinjstev z lastniškim stanovanjem. Hkrati pa 1.3% v javnih najemnih stanovanjih. Avstrija ima, po drugi strani 47% gospodinjstev z lastnim domom in 24% v javnih najemnih stanovanjih.
Če poenostavimo (grobo in čez palec, ampak dovolj nazorno!) je v Avstriji “stanovanjsko varnih” 47%+24%=71% gospodinjstev, na Hrvaškem pa 90%+1.3%=91.3% gospodinjstev. Povedano drugače: število javnih najemnih stanovanj ni merilo stanovanjske varnosti, ampak merilo skrajno levičarske ideologije, ki jo razumljivo financirajo abonenti na velike državne projekte gradnje stanovanj.
