Strongly considering starting a subreddit called "WallStreetDebts" to discuss:
📍Independent directors who are clearly not independent
📍PE shops' shameless div recaps and financial pillaging of balance sheets
📍Sh*tty lawyers who violate ethics on the reg.
📍Arrogant judges
Lol homie buys HVAC companies or dental practices or car washes for some PE shop and hunts for alleged synergies by rolling them up and subjecting them to his genius. Instead he finds a bankruptcy court.
Time stamp: April 15, 2026. Did we call it or did we call it? The fact that this happened does not surprise us one bit. What surprises us is that it took this long.
You didn't look at sh*t, bruh. You get access to some imaginary data room in you head??
AI bros are the ultimate narcissists: gotta make everything about themselves.
We looked at this and passed. The data belongs to the clients and is not acquirable. The talent who does the work has already left. Instead, we're interviewing Weil attorneys who want to work with the best engineers in legal tech to redefine their practice.

Finally a take we can get behind.
Hot take: law schools will teach you the most obscure legal doctrine known to mankind but absolutely nothing about how to get a client.
Nobody teaches you how to build relationships, win trust, bring in mandates or turn your legal expertise into actual business.
Then you enter the profession and realise that being the smartest lawyer in the room doesn’t necessarily mean you’re the most valuable one.
A law firm is only as good as its rainmakers. You can have the best lawyers in the world, but somebody still has to bring the clients through the door.
And in the age of Harvey and Legora, maybe it’s time law schools stopped pretending the business of law is somebody else’s problem!!!
More stupidity.
Haha, this is a banger of an idea. Better yet: buy defunct law firms around the world and build a legal AI Death Star.
The prize would be decades of institutional knowledge: drafting, negotiations, litigation strategy, and outcomes that never made it into public databases.
Distressed investing meets AI. I kind of love it.
AI VCs: call me - and find me a co-founder.

Arini should really buy Weil. They’re gonna need a legal team to work out their entire book. Major synergies there. Just think on Aston Martin alone….
Spirit Airlines is liquidating. Google wants its internal data to train AI. The unions have thoughts.
Our outside the box take? Nathan Fielder belongs in this story.
Welcome to the bankruptcy auction that sounds like a lost episode of The Rehearsal. 🧵
Nathan Fielder explored cockpit communication in The Rehearsal.
We’ve found his next research project.
Nathan, care to submit a topping bid?
