Seeds of Hope | Episode 2 – Ramata Leigh, Groundnut Farmer
🌱 Quality seeds bring hope, and hope keeps farming communities growing.
For Ramata Leigh from Jallubeh Village, Central River Region North, this farming season has started with renewed optimism. Supported with 70kg of certified groundnut seeds through the Gambia Agriculture and Food Security Project (GAFSp), she has successfully sown one hectare of land and is hopeful for a good harvest.
In her testimonial, Ramata expresses her heartfelt gratitude for the timely support, noting that without the certified seeds provided by GAFSp, some families in her village would not have been able to cultivate their farms this season due to the lack of seeds. She also praises the excellent quality of the seeds and remains confident of a good yield if the rains continue as expected.
As the farming season progresses, GAFSp continues to provide farmers with quality inputs that improve productivity, strengthen food security, and build more resilient farming communities.
🎥 Watch Ramata's inspiring story and discover how timely support is helping farmers plant with confidence and hope.
