🇬🇧 Southport killer Axel Rudakubana is accused of throwing “prison napalm” at a guard in prison Prosecutors say he hurled boiling water mixed with sugar through his cell hatch at one officer and punched another. A few days earlier he allegedly threatened to “soak” a female officer if she did not pass him a newspaper, then threw an unknown liquid at her. Adding sugar to water increases the boiling point of the liquid, meaning it can reach a higher temperature and cause more severe burns. The sugar also changes the texture of the liquid, making it more likely to stick to skin. The solution of boiling water and sugar is known as “prison napalm”, and is frequently used in inmate attacks. Rudakubana, 20, murdered three girls and tried to kill eight other children at a dance class in 2024. He now faces charges of attempted grievous bodily harm, two counts of assaulting an emergency worker and possessing an offensive weapon in prison.
