The CAL FIRE C-130H requires three personnel to fly; the pilot, co-pilot, and flight engineer. These aircraft are scheduled to be put in service throughout the state before the 2022 fire season. CalFire Air Ops

Wally Funk was an astronaut & was scheduled to go on the Mercury 13 space mission. Born in 1939 Wally received her pilots' license & an Associate of Arts degree in 1958. In 1961, she volunteered for the Mercury 13 program that was later canceled.
