PHOTOS: While we always appreciate new investment downtown, we are mindful that “silver bullet” projects are not a substitute for street level enforcement of city ordinances, acting quickly to close problem properties and businesses, fixing failing infrastructure, vigorous traffic enforcement, and all those unglamorous but essential functions of city government. It is the city’s historical failure to effectively perform those functions that has devalued our downtown, even after hundreds of millions of dollars of private investment. Big projects that promise to “save” downtown can only succeed if we pay attention to all of the things that only local government can do.

Answer - the electoral college. Neocons and neoliberals spiked the ball in solid blue states against Greens and progressives in 2016 to win popular vote. They did not win the presidency. What don’t you understand about that?
Not true, and outright dishonest in non-swing states. #electoralvotesmatter

Ajamu Baraja is on point as usual, President Obama gave Iraq war criminals a pass and was extreme in his retaliation against whistleblowers. He had Dick Cheney’s back before he had us law abiding working folk.
And now John Kasich represents the Democratic Party.... just wonderful 😱
Ahead of his speech at the DNC’s Convention:
John Kasich said @AOC “doesn’t represent the Democratic party.”
The hard truth is he’s right: AOC represents the people & the Democratic party (just like the GOP) represents the Oligarchy.
This is why we’re building @4aPeoplesParty.
No it isn’t. Especially in non-swing states. Spreading fear-based falsehoods. Who does that sound like...

Seriously, what is your suggestion? A vote for a third party candidate will be a vote for Trump.
She is correct though. She also resigned a plum appointment as DNC vice-chair in protest to the 2016 rigged dem primary. She's a lot less of a politician than the corporate pro-war "liberals".
