OpenAI CEO Sam Altman believes people owning RAM is wasteful, and that it belongs in data centers instead. "From a global allocation perspective, actually, it’s quite terrible to have everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer."

The Milwaukee Brewers' championship was 57 years in the making -- and it came together in spectacular fashion. Free at ESPN, the inside story of how it happened, from a late July declaration to a bus that everyone boarded to a whole lot of rally heaters. espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/5029…

Dodgers fans may actually be stupider and more insufferable than Bears fans. A feat I didn’t know was possible.

I may be delusional at times, but at least I’m not driving a quad cab long bed pickup truck in the Costco parking lot and thinking I’m not inconveniencing everybody - delusional

The NFL will paint “End Racism” in the back of the end zone... Then threaten a linebacker's career for acknowledging ethnically motivated, state-sponsored homicide of kids. The NFL fines players for alcohol-related celebrations because “the children are watching”— while running ads for Bud Light. The performative hypocrisy and vacuous platitudes are disrespectful. Respect to Azeez Al-Shaair 💯
Houston Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair was told by an NFL official to remove the name of Wafaa Akila, an 8-year-old Palestinian girl killed in Gaza, from his eye black during the Texans’ Week 2 game or he would not be allowed to continue playing, according to a league source. According to Reuters, Wafaa Akila was killed earlier this month by an Israeli airstrike. nyti.ms/4yWHU5I

So the NFL has told Azeez Al-Shaair they’ll remove him from the game if he wears a Palestinian child’s name, who was killed by Israeli airstrike, on his eyeblack. Psychotic. This harms no one by letting him do this. I think it’s absurd they were fining him, but those were the “rules” and he agreed to pay the fine. Removal from the game is INSANE. This shouldn’t stand!

Despite the fines and mounting pressure, Houston Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair continues to honour Palestinian children killed in Gaza. This time, it’s Lana, 12, and Bana, 8, who were killed alongside their family in an Israeli attack earlier this month.

On one hand I feel bad for these young men that were basically tortured. On the other hand, I laugh hysterically at how much of a fucking dork you have to be to lack that much self respect to put yourself through this and pay to have friends.
Police found roughly 30 partially clothed young men packed inside a sweltering basement at a Wisconsin fraternity house, covered in food, condiments and other liquids — with several showing signs of being physically struck. Officers responded to an anonymous tip at the Alpha Epsilon Pi house on Langdon Street in Madison around 8:20 p.m. Wednesday during rush week. The thermostat in the basement was set to 81 degrees, creating hot and humid conditions. The vast majority of those inside were 18 years old. Fraternity president Brayden J. Klein and vice president Samuel N. Vane, both 20, were arrested on hazing and disorderly conduct allegations. Police say cooperation from those at the scene was limited, and statements from witnesses didn't align — raising red flags for investigators. Full story here foxnews.com/us/dozens-pledge…

Thank you, Mr. Xi. If it isn’t too much trouble, we’d also love two high speed rail systems brought over as well.
🚨 JUST IN: Xi Jinping announces China will be sending TWO Giant Pandas to the Atlanta Zoo, Ping Ping and Fuhuan "The giant panda has been an envoy of friendship between the Chinese and Americans. Here, I have a piece of good news. In a few days, two pandas, Ping Ping and Fuhuan will come to their new home in Zoo Atlanta and meet with the American people." I freaking love pandas. So I'm glad to hear this 😆
