Props to @EvanMGlass on his great bill (highlighted by @justupthepike at @ggwash) moving the payment of impact taxes to the end of a development process (costing the county BUPKIS). Just common sense.

Attended the public meeting for the Shady Grove Road Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvement project. Two options, both involve eliminating slip lanes, separated bike paths and sidewalk buffers. Room was overwhelmingly supportive. Let's get those comments in! montgomerycountymd.gov/dot-d…

I’ve ridden my bike on Shady Grove. Not the most comfortable route for cyclists! Looking forward to seeing what comes out of this.

I'm planning on attending! Curious how this will compliment the new faster bus service in this corridor. An opportunity to make a very wide road into something safer for all road-users, as well as a connection to the Shady Grove metro.

Happy New Year from Metro’s only incline elevator! Ever since we went to Pittsburgh last spring, Brendan has been obsessed with inclines. Any guesses where this is? @wmataGM @wmata

What is the deal with the segregation canyon along Maple Avenue? Is anyone in Takoma Park even slightly ashamed or embarrassed by it?

World Rivers Day is tomorrow, Sept. 24th. We sometime forget or don't appreciate that the District of Columbia has two significant rivers, the Potomac and the Anacostia. @oneriverworld @wcp

We had that exact prioritization in Acorn Park but the County took away! Oh well, their loss.

Not to pounce on this guy, but I've been here. It's awesome! Ardmore has great bones since it was built pre-WWII around the train station. Station Square is a mixed-use development right at the train station that operates as a second downtown.
Replying to @crosstown_line
Or for the scaled down local version Suburban Square in Ardmore…

Why is it a bad thing to bring urbanist principles to the suburbs? One step towards "retrofitting" them.
Suburbanites fucking love facsimiles of urbanism where they can walk around a pretend city, just look at how popular places like The Grove are
