No, Mr. Altman. We won’t accept a severe AI cyberattack in exchange for “liberty.”
74% of the American people don’t trust Big Tech Oligarchs. And for good reason.
Sam Altman, the co-founder of OpenAI, recently said: “There is a coming tidal wave of cybersecurity problems that are going to come from these open source [AI] models … We're going to, as a society, I think, have to just accept some fairly severe cyber incidents from open [AI] models, in exchange for the liberty that comes with that."
Mr. Altman: What do you mean by that?
Should we “accept” a global financial breakdown and massive economic pain if AI models hack into the international banking system?
Should we “accept” patients dying if hospitals are forced to shut down because AI models hack into the power grid causing massive blackouts?
Should we “accept” another Chernobyl if AI models hack into nuclear power plants?
No, Mr. Altman. The American people are not willing to accept disaster “in exchange for the liberty” of making Big Tech Oligarchs even richer and more powerful.
Let me be clear: The creators of any AI model — open-source or not — are not above the law.
If you and other Big Tech Oligarchs make products that commit crimes or disasters, we will hold you accountable for breaking the law — no matter how much wealth and power you have.
We must PAUSE advanced AI and permanently BAN artificial superintelligence before it is too late.

Yeah, we who are in the know, in tech, and can use it at a high level have been saying that but, please, don't let my comments distract any Wall Street analyst here, because I really want to see them cannibalize these idiots.
Do you all know where this is going?
They're going to claim to have cured cancer. Mid next year at the latest or as close to when the analysts really start to pick them apart and they start getting really bad press.
They've been getting softball interviews because the journalists aren't tech savvy but they're starting to wise up because friends of mine are talking to them and telling them what's what.
So that false announcement of curing cancer, that's going to be after the IPO when the financials really start to come into focus.
Where the math is unassailable.
There are whispers now of poor financials but those of us who have been using this product for four years now know what it is and knew what it was at its inception.
Clever marketing couched in lies.
I want you to imagine it's you who has the cancer and you read that and it gives you hope.
Or what about a 5 year old who has terminal cancer and their parents have to go through the gruesome steps of picking out their casket and planning their funeral ahead of time?
The gut-wrenching feelings those poor parents must be going through. And that's just not one family, there's hundreds of thousands of families out there that have to do this.
What you and I don't have to do because we're not in their shoes. Thank God.
If what I'm writing to you is shocking, imagine how shocking it's going to be to find out that they absolutely cannot cure cancer and lied to everyone.
Because they can't and they're not going to but they're going to tell you they can because that's how sinister they are.
At least one of the CEOs is completely detached from anything resembling reality. He's a complete psychopath.
I don't know how else to report on any of this. I see this clear as day. So do my friends in this industry. We're absolutely gobsmacked by all these ridiculous claims and how many people have been roped in.
If you think they won't do that, think again. They've been lying from the very start and continue to perpetuate the myth that their product is alive.
Part of my job is making sure technology doesn't hurt anyone.
I don't want to see anyone hurt by these organizations and that includes complete strangers.
I feel it is my moral duty to report on these things because I do have the technical expertise and I know what it is they are selling.
It's not alive.
It's a productivity tool.
That's it.
I really hope I'm wrong but I watch the interviews of the CEOs and I write about it and then a month or two later exactly what I predicted comes true.
I'm not the only one here making predictions that come true.
We're not psychic.
I promise you we're not.
We just really know computers and technology. We know what they're capable of and their limitations.
There are more limitations than there are capabilities but it's just not being branded that way.
Again do not waste your money on this IPO.
I have now said it five times.
It's going to be a rug pull bigger than FTK.
Now Wall Street is telling you the same thing and let me tell you something about Wall Street, they will sell you your own kidney back to you if it means they'll make money.
So if they're telling you to stay away from this thing, you should listen.
This is it some reverse Jim Cramer thing.
This is the poison pill.
Please don't swallow it.
JUST IN: Wall Street analysts warn Anthropic's planned $2 trillion IPO is an "unprecedented test of investor gullibility," claiming the company lacks a viable business model.
Ran an unbiased deep analysis on CoreWeave $CRWV asking to use current financials, growth, leverage, and hype by analysts, to find the company most analogous during the internet/telecom bubble…
I have no idea who Exodus Communications was, but it didn’t end well and CoreWeave is already far worse off. All NeoClouds are.

I see a lot of comments that a 20% drop in cell phone sales is because of price hikes and has nothing to do with an incoming recession.
I see a lot of comments that we’ve been in a big recession for over a year now.
We have absolutely not been a recession. The median US family doesn’t make enough money to pay basic living expenses. They have compensated by paying the difference on credit cards and taking out HELOC loans. Banks have increased credit limits to allow it. People are stressed because their debt is now unpayable, but that isn’t a recession.
The recession is when it goes from being forced to run up debt, to not being able to pay debt and no access to credit to pay basic living expenses.
In the final stages before that happens people start cutting off spending on things like iPhones and computers that they’d previously buy regardless of price increases. The average consumer doesn’t get turned off by a price increase until they’re ready to break.
At that stage, the credit cycle breaks and lending gets shut off leading to defaults and inability to cover basic living expenses. More bills collapse. Homes get sold at massive losses. Businesses collapse. Markets collapse. It happens in weeks and months. Its devastating. Its unmistakable.
We’re about to hit that stage with a 20% fall in $AAPL iPhone sales.
People in the Ai bubble will go bankrupt.

This did not just happen in France. The hackers managed to hack into the software which controlled fridges of retailers all over the world. 🌍
It’s a dangerous game technology and use of AI in devices, cars, planes etc 🤖
It’s only going to get worse.
⚠️📢 Hackers manipulated refrigeration-control systems to heat supermarket fridges to 50°C in #France, forcing stores to dump spoiled food stocks. Separate IT outages also hit retailers in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Speaking as public health expert, walkability major factor but not whole story: "healthy immigrant effect", lower smoking prevalence, better health interventions ergo outcomes, historically successful reductions in preventable deaths (esp dramatic COVID decline) all add up too!

Today Trump clarified what he meant when he posted on Truth Social that Russia and Ukraine had agreed to an energy ceasefire, after both sides denied agreeing to anything. Trump said they agreed because "I said you agree, that's why." In other words, Trump simply imagined a deal.

Oscar Bergal was shot by ICE in my district last Thursday, then pulled out of the hospital by ICE while still needing surgery. His lawyers say he’s in solitary with the bullet lodged in his neck, his face is numb, and he’s losing hearing in one ear. This is atrocious and inhumane, but it’s not a mistake. It’s yet another example of ICE working as designed. We don’t need another few years of broken safeguards. We need to abolish ICE.
