Helen Haines was attacked & almost killed in a savage attack by a home grown Aussie bloke who is mentally ill. As soon as that was known, mainstream & social media lost interest in him. Imagine how different it would have been if he was black, brown or, even worse, a Muslim.

Me too😔 having been born in 1958, I've seen a fair bit of carnage, wars, protests, but I can honestly say I've never seen such blatant cruelty, sadism, and the killing of innocents being perpetrated by one small Country on such a grand scale. And no one stopping it!

I would never have believed that the world would let such evil continue. It is even worse that everyone knows and says nothing. Iran did not approve and it was attacked without provocation. Deeply disappointed with humanity

RBA never gave a rats arse about ordinary people. When have we heard RBA tell gouging corporations & businesses who actually cause inflation to rein in their greed? & Joe Hockey gave RBA a $8.8 billion sweetener in 2013. System is rigged & ordinary folk do the heavy lifting.

Coming to a declared zone near you.
This new legislation’s regulations will allow for lethal force to be used to protect ministerially Declared Defence zones if armed Defence Security officers consider life or limb are threatened.

Two days out from the AUKUS Public Inquiry publishing its findings and we have this Bill tabled on 27 October with submissions due by tomorrow. Why the rush, Minister Marles?
Many of us have long suspected that the Americans will want to control the airspace and the sea space around their bases which raises serious issues about sovereignty and accountability.
If the Americans are carrying out nuclear armed missions on Australian soil we will be kept completely in the dark.
This Bill is alarming not only because of the inadequate timeframe provided to oppose it and because it will slip blithely through the bipartisan Defence Committee, but because we are handing sovereignty of important parts of our country to the most notorious rogue international law breaker in modern history.
We should be completely disassociating ourselves from the US war machine rather than handing it sole control of critical, strategic parts of Australia.
Note the changes proposed to the FOI Act: between that and the multifarious physical restrictions, the entire AUKUS project will be effectively blanketed from scrutiny by the Australian public.
Get your submissions in by tomorrow and see the must read piece by @JabriRita below.

If you think Australian politics is feeling a little rapey right now, there's good reason.
After One Nation Victorian candidate Matthew Collins stepped down over his lack of consent, federal Senator Ralph Babet has come out in support of him and said he too does not 'do consent'. Because it's woke.
It is very understandable though - Ralph is a fanboy of Donald Trump (AKA the president who rapes).

Community policing is the most effective form of policing for PREVENTING crime.
For community policing to occur we actually need police in our communities.
The militarisation of Oz policing is insane on every level.
While politicians created a new 230 officer Armed Response Command, Brewarrina Police Stn is operating with just 2 of its 11 substantive positions filled, with officers from other areas brought in to maintain a police presence.
All about optics 🤷🏻♂️

The idea that progressive voters will continue to grit their teeth and vote Labor after it was gifted a historic majority is, frankly, a fairy tale, writes Amy Remeikis.

If the RBA increases the cash rate from 4.60% to 4.85%, it will be an 18-yr high.
And no amount of antisemitism fearmongering, nor the high-visibility deployment of @nswpolice patrolling with high-powered rifles, will shield us from the real problem - the cost-of-living crisis.
