Working class is more than being dependent on wages. It’s not a mere category. It exists only when people who share that wage dependency develop common identity, tradition, sense of agency, & recognise that their common interests are in opposition to those who live off assets✊

Bro thinks the only kind of 'ambition' worth striving for is being a parasitic landleech ps: landlordism is the opposite of working hard. Socialists value work - the goal of every capitalist is to live off the work of others via surplus value or as they call it 'passive income'

These people are just awful. Anti ambition, anti working hard, anti people trying to do better, anti aspiration. They’d rather the less well off get poorer as long as those with assets or wealth don’t get richer.

Every goal Derby have conceded so far has been a case study in what happens when you just have makeshift back 4 after makeshift back 4. Nobody knows what they're doing, nobody looks comfortable taking the ball and heads are constantly down.

And there we have it - why most landlords are hated. Greedy, grasping, scumbags.

We (not them) must suffer pain, say two neoliberal think tanks founded by conservative politicians, hedge-funders and tax (avoidance) advisers. They don't say why - they're cutting back their leveraged moneylending because we can't guarantee them enough interest (free money). If we breathe a word about public investment their bond trader and media scaremongering pals will try to tank the economy and unseat the government. On and on it goes.....

Sam Altman thinks RAM sitting in personal computers is a waste when it could be put to better use in data centers. Weird. I was just thinking that all those billions sitting in billionaires’ bank accounts could be put to much better use in our communities.

Clearly not interested in re-election if they're running to the right wing press to slag off a membership of over 200,000 people who might come and cavass for you.
This is from Adrian Ramsay briefing the Times today. Adrian and Ellie, who will almost certainly lose their seats, and Carolyn, will have to answer for the deeply dehumanising language they’ve relentlessly directed at Green Party members. They should be under no illusion that people will move on and forget.

Apart from the fact GMB clearly didn't do any due diligence on this guy - he fundamentally doesn't understand the relationship between him being a landlord with six houses directly contributing to the cost pressures pushing up his staff's wages in his pie business.
‘John Healey, if you’re listening, where’s my breathing space?’ Business owner Paul Bowen has criticised the Chancellor’s promise to give ‘breathing space’ through measures in his Budget. #budget #businesses #costofliving

The thing is, liberalism offers no way out of this, no motivating story about the future, no reason for existence, except to consume as a free individual. That is meant to be enough.

I’m not saying I have better, smarter plans than twenty five years of zombie Thatcherism refusing to die, enforcing ever stronger and nastier propaganda and crackdowns to sustain itself. But I will say that if zombie Thatcherism was any good, it’d have started to improve by now.

No, I'm getting *swarmed* by capitalism defender bots and useful idiots but I've ratio'd the opposition several times in the last few days. The swarming by lying bots and ignorant people shows that I have hit a nerve pulling the curtain from capitalism's required illusions.

Mate, you're getting hammered in the comments, and it's well deserved. This is the dumbest post I've seen in a fair while, phenomenal.

There is no nothing remotly 'socialist' about this Labour party, don't waste your vote on people who have done nothing about the water companies and who have continued arming Israel. Vote Green instead.

Yes mate, when businesses close & essentials are unaffordable it'll be because our poorest workers are overpaid. Incredible how all you armchair economists parrot exactly what the billionaire press tell you. Must be all that intelligence.

Why do Labour always attack young people, pensioners, disabled people? People who didn't cause the mess we're in? Why not take on corporate parasites, energy companies, water companies, private equity, landlords?

Palantir - a company which has supported ICE raids and enabled genocide in Gaza - should be nowhere near this country, let alone our NHS. Kick Palantir out.

Nothing highlights the emptiness of "the markets" more than traders trying to crash the Brazilian economy because a guy who was already President remained so.
The fact that financial markets are reacting poorly to Lula’s victory is a sure sign that markets are not some amorphous intelligence but simply a bunch of right wing traders who follow the herd. We forget that at our peril.

Today’s budget was a missed opportunity to put an end to a failed economic model that impoverishes the many and enriches the few.

Healey’s Budget Disaster. This was a terrible budget, terribly presented, that did precisely nothing of consequence for almost anyone. So what are Healey and Burnham up to, other than not a lot? youtu.be/r4p9EY_JHvI?si=NdHX…
