Coming from Arc Raiders, its really interesting seeing the how the Call of Duty community interacts with an extraction shooter.
(not talking about dmz og's but warzone/multiplayer players)
Its a pretty strong split.
A lot of them think every thing you do in the game should be about getting as many kills as you possibly can, and winning every lobby. (i get it, im a warzone guy too)
But a lot of them are learning that DMZ, much like Arc Raiders has a ton of stuff on the PvE side of things that are really fun to engage with, and grind.
Story missions, DMZ orders, boss fights (although they could be better in DMZ), building insane loot routes, irradiated containers, bank puzzles, key rooms, bunkers, and so much more.
I am not advocating for PvE only, or a PvE mode in DMZ like I did with Arc Raiders because fighting players is the life blood of Call of Duty and should always be.
But PvP only players will scream at the top of their lungs, that there's no possible way someone can enjoy the PvE aspects of a game, and that PvP is the only way to have fun. When these games have built insanely deep, and layered PvE systems that players want to explore.

I truly don't understand anyone who claims Call of Duty should never do anything futuristic, fictional, or "weird" with its setting and aesthetic.
How can a franchise have a new game every year with similar time periods, the same weaponry, and the same aesthetic?
I just sat down and came up with ideas for the next 10 Call of Duty games (because why not), and there's absolutely no way it can be done without doing some "weird" and wildly unique aesthetics, settings, and eras.
Even with throwing in unique settings here or there, I ran out of ideas by 2036 lol

I wish people would have defended BO7 at launch/during the cycle like they are today. Where was that energy before?!?

The amount of hate sprites get is genuinely some of the most performative shit I've ever seen from this community. Sure, the system has issues, sure, they've been oversaturated. But with how some people treat them, you'd honestly think they're one of the worst things ever added.

TIM SWEENEY IS GETTING DESPERATE 🛑
He attacks Steam once again this time with basically a complete nonsense lie. Causing his statement to get Community noted (second community note in 1 week)
Something has to be going wrong scaring Tim to be this aggressive towards Valve…

Treyarch and sledgehammer games get forced to make 2 games in a row each, while treyarch also gets forced to make extra modes for the games
Where IW has seemingly all the time an space in the world (The awful MW22 was 2022)
And then they keep coming up with this absolute shit for MP?
Its impressive, truly.
