A new chapter in Subham’s treatment begins in #Mumbai. Subham Sahu, 10, from Ganjam, #Odisha, has been battling aplastic anemia. He was undergoing treatment at SUM Hospital, #Bhubaneswar, from where he was referred to Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children (@wadiahospitals), Mumbai. His treatment has now begun at Wadia Hospital, where he is being evaluated for a bone marrow transplant. For a family with limited means, travelling to Mumbai and managing a prolonged stay for treatment is a huge challenge. With Subham’s father also unwell, his uncle has accompanied him and his mother to Mumbai. We are grateful to Ronald McDonald House Mahim for arranging accommodation for Subham and his mother. Our heartfelt thanks to Shri Surya Narayan Gauda, Vice-President, Mumbai Utkal Samiti, a longstanding Odia community organisation in Mumbai, for arranging free stay and food for Subham’s uncle at their centre. For a family with limited means, this is a huge support. With treatment now underway, we hope every step takes Subham closer to the transplant he needs and, most importantly, to recovery. When Support Comes Together, Lives Move Forward Rangnath, a 63-year-old farmer from Nashik, #Maharashtra, suffered recurrent strokes due to a serious aneurysmal condition affecting the vertebrobasilar arteries. At KEM Hospital, #Mumbai, he was advised to undergo an endovascular procedure to treat this life-threatening condition. We are delighted to share that Rangnath has successfully undergone the procedure! For families facing a medical crisis, timely treatment can make all the difference. Support under Ayushman Bharat–Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) played an important role in Rangnath's treatment. We sincerely thank @AyushmanNHA for helping make critical healthcare more accessible to families with limited financial means.
