Palestinian families devastated by Israeli human rights violations are suing the State Department today, with DAWN’s support, to enforce the Leahy Law and suspend U.S. military assistance to abusive Israeli security forces. Watch to learn why we filed this historic lawsuit.

On Indigenous Peoples' Day, remember Palestinians are indigenous to Palestine & have been struggling for their freedom & right to live safely on their own land. Israel has colonized Palestinian land & attacked Palestinians since day 1. This is an indigenous freedom struggle.

For decades Israel has violated intl law, incl UN res. & ICJ orders. This year it has bombed dozens of UN premises, killed hundreds of UN staff, accused UN officials of "terrorism" & "antisemitism" among others. Now it is attacking peacekeepers. When will Israel be #UNseated?
UNIFIL statement: Early this morning, peacekeepers at a UN position in Ramyah observed three platoons of IDF soldiers crossing the Blue Line into Lebanon.

An airstrike in Gaza hit a hospital courtyard on Monday, burning tents where people were sleeping. Strikes also hit an @UNRWA school where families were sheltering. The location was meant to be used as a polio vaccination site. A ceasefire is urgently needed to stop the devastation.

The scale of destruction of human life in Lebanon is shocking. Israel normalized the worst crimes in Gaza and turned it into a doctrine. It is now using that doctrine elsewhere. That is what impunity means in real, devastating terms.
I hesitate to share this video from my village in south Lebanon. But with the Biden administration insisting that the Israeli campaign of madness in Lebanon is "limited", it is important to show that Lebanon is already seeing Gaza-like destruction

Reliable sources in #Gaza confirm this is accurate. The threat of yet another massacre is northern Gaza is very real. Israel must be ordered to stop assaulting the Palestinians trapped there and withdraw immediately from the occupied Palestinian territory, as already decided by the #ICJ. #PalestiniansNeedProtection
Breaking damn news: (please amplify far and wide) 1- The Israeli army is besieging people in Jabalia and Beit Lahia. Anyone goes out in the street will be shot by quadcopters. 2- Families are unable to go out and find food and water. 3- Ambulances no longer can take the wounded and patients from the Kamal Odwan Hospital in Beit Lahia to the Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza for some surgeries available there because the tanks have separated north Gaza from Gaza City.

WATCH: For the past 12 months, Israel has been escalating its attacks in the Palestinian West Bank. “While everyone was watching Gaza, there was another war going on. Israeli analysts say total annexation of the occupied West Bank is really the ultimate goal.”
For the past year, it isn’t just Gaza where Palestinians have been under Israeli attack. In the occupied West Bank, analysts say Israel is pushing for the full annexation of the Palestinian territory. Al Jazeera's @soraya_lennie looks at what’s been happening.

Israel is destroying Palestinian land to expand its apartheid wall around Palestinian villages in the West Bank. It’s wrong, it’s illegal, and it’s apartheid. No country should be allowed to violate international law without consequences—Israel should be no exception.
This morning, Israeli occupation forces, accompanied by bulldozers, began razing Palestinian lands and properties in the town of Sinjl, northeast of Ramallah. This operation aims to construct a wall that threatens the town's access to the rest of the West Bank, all under the false pretext of "security" for Israeli settlers.

The Israeli government is employing the same genocidal tactics in Lebanon that it unleashed in Gaza, relentlessly bombing both while engaging in mass killings, forced displacement, and the destruction of cities and villages. 🧵

How Israel attempts to justify indiscriminate attacks on civilians (and why it’s failing) - by @CraigMokhiber on @Mondoweiss "..Israel’s defenders try to use certain nouns as trump cards. By saying that the targets were “Hezbollah” or “terrorists”, (just as they have tried to do with “Hamas”) they seek to create a law-free zone in which the rules of international law (or even basic morality) don’t apply. But calling someone a “terrorist” or saying that they are affiliated with a group that you dislike or consider to be terrorist, is not a legal argument. At the very heart of international humanitarian law is the distinction between combatants and non-combatants. Superimposing another label on top of a civilian population that you do not like does not make them legitimate targets. Indeed, even attempting to re-label combatants in this way does not relieve Israel of its obligations under international humanitarian and human rights law. Unlawful weapons and tactics remain unlawful, regardless of the labels the attackers apply to their targets...." mondoweiss.net/2024/09/how-i…
