🟡 VOTER ALERT: A @TxDPS database error kept approximately 178,000 Texas voter registrations, some dating back to October 2025, from ever reaching county election offices! In typical unintended IT upgrade consequences, the DPS vendor Deloitte updated the voter registration system, and those automatic transfers stopped coming thru, and before you ask, YES, the Texas Secretary of State personnel should have also caught the lack of Voter Registrations, but they didn't! On the positive side, the missing files were pushed through to the counties that update their Voter rolls, and in bipartisan unanimity are working on getting their rolls updated by Oct 5th. I've spoken directly with new @TXsecofstate Howden, and he is helping with the backlog by getting monies for the Counties if needed, and the backlog VR is being worked NOW. Read @NataliaECG’s story now for more details. I had started asking oversight questions in June, as County election officials had been putting in the long hours even then into Voter Registration rolls, as they had issues with the State of Texas TEAM system and their vendor Civix. So literally, work has to be done and I received a call from the State’s Largest Voter Registrar, Annette Ramirez @ElectAnnetteR saying they will have the updated roll done in time. If you've had a major voter registration issue, comment now. I'll keep you posted on the progress of this Statewide Voter Registration Roll fix as it's important that we always maintain voter roll integrity.
