Something similar to this Dan Sullivan thing happened back in 2022, but in reverse: a "spoiler" candidate in a (way less consequential) Florida race had the same last name as the Dem incumbent.
Back then Dems and the entire media were screaming for arrests and investigations.
Sickening. Stories like these should fill every American with rage.
EXCLUSIVE: University Hockey Captain Killed in Wrong Way Collision With Twice-Deported Mexican Illegal in Sanctuary Connecticut
A beloved member of the University of New Haven community was killed in a head-on collision with a driver who is in the U.S. illegally, federal authorities have confirmed with Border Hawk.
The tragedy unfolded at around 11:45 p.m. on Oct. 16 in North Haven, Connecticut.
Ryan O’Shea, 21, was driving southbound on Interstate 91 when a pickup truck traveling in the wrong direction slammed into his Honda Accord, causing his vehicle to strike two SUVs, Connecticut State Police (CSP) explained in an accident summary.
O’Shea, who was on his way back to campus after playing in a hockey game, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck, who suffered “serious life-threatening injuries,” was identified as 31-year-old Guillermo Carmona-Lopez, a resident of Bridgeport, Connecticut.
“In May 2013, Border Patrol arrested Carmona-Lopez, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, after he illegally entered the country. Carmona-Lopez was issued an expedited removal and was removed from the country,” the Department of Homeland Security told us.
“He then illegally reentered the country near the Rio Grande Valley after being removed—a felony—and was once again arrested by Border Patrol in May 2013. Carmona-Lopez was issued a final order of removal on May 30, 2013. He then reentered the country at an unknown time and place.”
It is currently unclear if Carmona-Lopez will face charges in connection with the crash.
A resident of Stony Point, New York, O’Shea served as senior assistant captain of the university’s club hockey team and also chapter president of the Kappa Sigma fraternity.
He was studying criminal justice with a concentration in police science and aspired to work for the New York Police Department.
“Ryan was not only a great leader, but he was a caring friend to anyone around him. He always knew how to light up a room and make people laugh, no matter the time. Ryan’s leadership and the memories he has made will never be forgotten,” Kappa Sigma wrote in an Instagram post memorializing O’Shea.
Ryan’s sisters said he “always found a way to make everything positive.”
“He was always trying to go out of the way to help others and include them in new spaces if they didn’t know anyone,” Kiera O’Shea stated.
Two memorial scholarships have been established in Ryan O’Shea’s name. Contributions can be made here.
We contacted CSP to request more information on this investigation and Carmona-Lopez’s current condition and will provide updates if they become available.

A very important point from the WH today on the Q3 GDP data:
“Capital goods — the equipment and machinery that build American industry — now make up a record share of U.S. imports. At the same time, consumer goods fell to just 17% of goods imports, tied for the lowest level on record.”
The naysayers that see a large negative contribution to GDP from net exports in today’s data should take a deeper look. The US is not engaging in reckless consumption fueled by cheap foreign goods from mercantilist neighbors. Rather, it’s importing the capital goods necessary to expand productive capacity, reshore vulnerable supply chains, and increase the technological advance that will drive exceptional future economic growth!!

Despicable.

Under President Trump’s leadership, America’s economy is investing in its future rather than borrowing to consume cheap goods.
The evidence:
• Real federal gov't consumption is down 3.9% since Q4 2024
• Real business investment is growing at 6.9%, up from 3.8% in 2025 and 2.3% in 2024
•Public-company capex is on track to nearly double: $1.4T (2024) to $2.4T (2026)
• Capital goods just hit their highest share of U.S. goods imports on record while consumer goods hit their lowest
While we still run a trade deficit, borrowing to invest in the future is a far stronger position than borrowing to consume.

My grandpa is buried in Arlington and I visit regularly.
Personally, I think it’s beautiful President Trump is building a monument that will honor the hard-fought military victories of my ancestors.
The media needs to stop with the never-ending fake outrage. It’s tiresome.
President Trump's planned 250-foot-tall arch would cast shadows on many graves and monuments in nearby Arlington National Cemetery, the @washingtonpost's 3-D analysis found.
On some days, Trump's arch would even shade the grave and eternal flame of JFK.
A little too on the nose that @nytimes has been stealing credit from conservative outlets for years and no one in the corporate media gave a shit until they did it to a former Biden staffer.
NEW: The Times’s Credit Crisis
A recent New York Times front-page feature on chemical plants in the Trump era had deep reporting, stark data visuals, and an uncanny resemblance to a smaller outlet’s earlier investigation. Was this a case of unacknowledged inspiration, a steroidal dose of Times exceptionalism, or sheer coincidence?
