Just back from Krakow Film Festival where My Name is Happy won their most prestigious doc award. Chuffed to bits, but what has really blown me away is that this automatically qualifies us for Oscar consideration. Did not see that coming!
End of 7 year journey to screen My Name is Happy about femicide victim Mutlu Kaya finally reaches the screen at IDFA premiere this w/e. Excited, exhausted and nervous. Moment of truth arrives! Tickets here: idfa.nl/en/film/e328ea60-697… #mynameishappyfilm #IDFA

IMO Subrata Roy episode in Bad Boy Billionaires is the best. Subrata Roy got India. He rose from nothing and got like 1 in 10 adult Indians to invest in his Ponzi scheme, speaking in high emotional notes imbued with family and nationalism, & embedded in a saviour personality cult
