Last night, Sen. Andy Kim (D-NJ) told me something I keep thinking about: While Democrats may want to celebrate, they need to remember that this isn't a sporting event. This is Americans sending the strongest signal possible that they are in pain, and hurting, and want help. Now Congress needs to answer that call. It was powerful stuff, and if the party is smart they'll follow his instincts.

One of the more exciting parts of this election - among many - is the return of a religious left.

Tonight, the American people sent a clear message — they want a politics that brings people together rather than divides them, and leaders who offer concrete solutions to the challenges they face.
These results were only possible because outstanding candidates stepped forward in every region of the country — including in areas once considered long shots. They came from different backgrounds and represented a range of political perspectives, but were united by shared values, a belief in public service, and a commitment to putting the people of their districts and states first.
We also owe a debt of gratitude to the thousands of election officials and volunteers from both parties who helped ensure a smooth election and carried out one of the most essential functions of our democracy.
While this administration has another two years in office, our job now is to roll up our sleeves, make changes wherever we have the power to do so, prevent further damage, and lay the groundwork for the future.

To everybody celebrating Greg Abbott’s defeat, what if I told you there was a way to watch an unlikable old guy lose in Texas almost every Sunday?

Incredible news for Utah.
JUST IN: Amendment B, which would have changed the law to require a 60% vote on ballot initiatives that increase taxes, has failed, AP reports.

Because people like you have sold their soul to the belief that election fraud is the only reason you don't win.

notice how we took this little deer in, cleaned him up and kept him protected, despite him not being one of our own? sometimes being the bigger animal means lending a helping hand. you humans could learn a thing or two from this
Ok, this is probably the worst argument you have every made. There is literally no substance to it. And I'm pretty sure that God does not care about Amendment B.
The courts are a check on the legislature, but the legislature has continued to undermine our court system because they don't like being told no.
Replying to @KeithManleyjr
The two are not the same. The courts and the referendum process are the check on the legislature.
Citizen initiatives are a populist effort to pass policies that only pass because of clever marketing and money.

Check whether the county clerk’s office has received your ballot at votesearch.utah.gov. Your ballot must be received by 8 p.m. on 11/3. If it hasn’t, you can still vote in person. If your mailed ballot arrives after you vote, it will be voided, so you’ll only be counted once
