Im not here to defend Datu but im here to say that Jae also messed up
He had absolutely no faith that Datu could make the right decision; initially, it was to protect him, but later he simply stopped believing that Datu could be good. I think they'll get back together eventually
I am so tired of people constantly trying to silence brown people in fandoms whenever we call other orientalism, colorism, or racism towards brown characters with how they are treated in the fandom or by the series itself and then we are just painted as crazy or too sensitive

I think sure Datu knew the ear itching thing was Jae's tell, but wanted to have faith in Jae. He immediately knew Jae was the traitor and he seemed cautious(?)
I think he just really loved Jae too much and wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt until he couldn't anymore

And Iβll defend datu NO MATTER WHAT. I will not be swayed by PROPAGANDA. Nothing will shake me, no wind will sway me, no hate will harden my heart against him.

In his free time,he helped everyone and cooked for his ex boyfriend (π) and friends, but now they are portraying him as someone else,as different person.Instead of helping to save Ellora, which he primarily tried to save,he just ran away?So selfish and weird. But I still love him..

EXACTO!!!!
