After 3 straight years at #1, โAIโ is no longer the top search term on @MavenHQ.
We reviewed five years of search history on our marketplace, where 1M+ students (mostly mid-career tech/business professionals) learn:
- 2022: โAIโ entered the list at #6. Rapid ascent as ChatGPT launched in Nov.
- 2023: โAIโ took the #1 spot. More AI-related terms too (โmidjourneyโ, โllmโ).
- 2024: Still #1. Professionals started to apply to their roles (โai productโ at #6).
- 2025: Still #1. Use cases beyond basic chat (โragโ, โagentic aiโ, โvibe codingโ).
- 2026 (H1): โAIโ fell to #6, dethroned by โclaudeโ! Top 7 terms are AI-related, led by new tools and techniques (โclaude codeโ, "evals", โopenclawโ).
2026 is a lot more hands-on. More companies have provided tool access for teams, and more professionals have already attended some type of AI 101 / foundations training.
Now the tough question: what will be #1 in 2027?
Iโm honored and excited to take on a new role as CEO at @MavenHQ.
I joined Maven almost 5 years ago. Combined with my prior stint at @TPT_Official, Iโve spent the last decade building education marketplaces. (Not the traditional path for someone who started as an investment banking analyst). Iโm unusually excited by incentivizing and scaling great teaching.
At Maven, weโve defined the category of live, expert-led learning. Our product makes it much easier to run a live course, and has inspired top experts to become instructors. Theyโve now earned $100M+ from 100K+ student alumni. Students have increasingly been learning AI skills, which make up 80% of sales.
Recently, a new opportunity has emerged with B2B. AI has created an urgent need to upskill across roles and levels, and the Maven catalog offers a company-wide solution. Weโve set up pilots with companies like Notion, Lattice, and Salesforce, with great results. If youโre interested in exploring a pilot partnership, send me a DM.
I feel lucky to be joined by the high-agency, fun-loving, small-but-mighty team of 20 at Maven. Iโm also grateful to have worked closely with each of our founders that shaped our team today. @gaganbiyani demonstrated how to lead with clarity and conviction. Iโll tap him often in his new role as Chairman.
Mavenโs mission from 2020 was to โbuild the university of the futureโ - that remains, and has only become more important for professionals in the AI era. Pumped for the next chapter!

The best PMs Iโve worked with are โfull stack.โ And I think the rise of full stack PMs will usher in a new golden age for product managers:
Companies are shrinking team size, AI is creating more leverage per employee, and product leaders are gaining more scope and influence.
For some PMs, this will be a challenge. For others, a huge opportunity.
To take advantage, you have to get your hands dirty. Do some of the analytics yourself, run growth experiments, and leverage AI to speed up your workflows.
You may never be as good as the specialists - thatโs OK. Youโll be faster when you do things yourself, drastically improving your productivity. And when you have a team of experts to work with, youโll be a much more effective leader because you can get in the weeds and work directly with the specialists.
I see this with Mavenโs Head of Product, Rishin. He can work with nearly every team. He understands the business strategy, and also gets knee-deep on user flows and customer research.
PMs who can stretch like this will dramatically increase their scope and responsibility.
In our new series The Full Stack PM, weโve brought together the PMs doing this best, to share their tactical tips with you.
You can get started right now with these free lessons: bit.ly/full-stack-pm.
Hear from:
- The PM behind Figma Slides, @mihikapoor, on how to make an idea go internally viral
- Analytics founder turned Stripe product lead, @g_xing, on how to build dashboards that drive alignment and action
- The original IC PM, @talraviv, on how experienced product managers use ChatGPT
- VP Product at Microsoft, @amitfulay, on how to ace high-stakes product reviews with executives
- Former Director of Growth at Gitlab, @HilaQu, on how to create a data blueprint for product-led growth

Two years ago, if you wanted to build a course, you needed to be an:
- Expert
- Teacher
- Video editor
- Community manager
- Experienced marketer
Today, with Maven you mainly need to be an expert.
Here are 6 instructors & how you can turn your knowledge into a course:

I'm super excited that my Product Strategy course is featured in Maven's Marketplace launch!
I've really enjoyed being part of the Maven community. From a product perspective, here are some things I think they do well:
"Kahoot! at Work used in 97% of Fortune 500 companies for corporate learning and engagement; Kahoot! at School used by ~9 million teachers in the classroom"
Wow. Can't think of many other products with that penetration in K-12 *and* enterprise. Kudos to Kahoot!
We're live on ProductHunt! An exciting launch milestone to get more eyes on what we've been building. An upvote would be much appreciated!
