Why did you delete the part where I was asking for my phone so I could retrieve my cousin’s number? And where I was asking to let me speak to my lawyers?
The same Delhi Police which is now taking the moral high ground for informing me about my grandmother’s demise and offering me a ride home came to me at 3:30 in the morning with arrest papers, demanding that I sign them.
Where did all that humanity go at 3:30 AM? Despite knowing that I had just lost my grandmother, they still insisted that I sign the arrest papers. I refused until I was allowed to speak to my lawyers.

#WATCH | Delhi: Ratna Singh, Head of Legal Affairs, CJP says, "Protest is ongoing. Today also, there was a protest that is happening. That's like that template (conditions of the magistrate). That is how, whenever they do preventive detention, that is something which everyone has to sign. So no special conditions have been imposed. That's the normal criteria for how it is done."
On the allegation she made regarding her detention, she says, "It was all on record, so it was something which happened."

Reports say RBI has stepped in with strong intervention to protect the rupee as forex reserves have dipped $52 billion in September. RBI raised $137 billion of expensive dollars from NRIs in recent months to fortify the reserves and stabilise the rupee. The opposite is happening as rupee continues to weaken sharply and 40% of the NRI deposits have already been spent. Do recall in a similar situation in 2013, when the rupee was under severe pressure due to US Fed's taper tantrum, the RBI under Raghuram Rajan had raised about $30 billion from NRIs in September and the rupee strengthened within months from a low of Rs 68 to a dollar to Rs 63 by December 2013. Why is Modi govt struggling to keep the rupee stable even with $137 billion of fresh dollar deposits? Worrisome. Latest measures by RBI is like countering a severe flood with a wall of clay!
