Some things to know for the out of staters hungrily looking to target Mike Lee in 2028: 1. We're not doing McMullin again. 2. There is no real bench otherwise beyond Ben McAdams. 3. McAdams spent millions of dollars torching his conservative brand this year so he could win UT-1.
Hot take but Dems should try to run a legit candidate against Mike Lee in 2028. It's pretty unlikely that the sear flips, but Lee has moved pretty hard to the right over the past few years and Utah isn't super Trumpy as far as red states go

4. McAdams has been called upon to run against Mike Lee before, and he was too cowardly/selfish.

YouTuber ItalianBach wants custom thumbnails removed and replaced with a random frame from the video He said it would end clickbait and help viewers "know exactly what you’re going to be seeing"

do you think maybe the far-right parties might be getting more attention because they're in, you know, the government
Americans focus an inordinate amount of time on Itamar Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, two ultra-right ethnonationalist leaders in Israel. For context: Gvir's party has 7 seats so far in this election. Smotrich's has 6. Joint List, the left-wing Arab party: 11 seats. Ra'am, Mansour Abbas's Islamist conservative party: 8 seats. The Democrats, lead by a pro-two state solution Zionist: 8 seats. B'Yachad, an anti-Netanyahu coalition party: 12 seats. Yashar, the chief opposition party under Eisenkot: 21 seats. Makes you wonder about how much time Twitter pundits and American pundits focus on the far-right radicals in Israel.

Bob Ross is actually a perfect example to show why art lovers are unimpressed by AI art. Bob Ross is not famous for his paintings. He is famous for his videos in which he showed *how* he made his paintings. The process matters!
the double standards are actually insane

If Texas actually gets a Democratic state government willing to spend government resources building real public transit, this country might genuinely enter an unstoppable Austin Hegemonic Order.

This video is such a cool time capsule of the pre-AI world. Filling the internet with cheap slop used to require you: 1. Scour Audible for trending topics 2. Hire a ghost writer 3. Hire a voice actor 4. Hire a graphic designer 5. Wait one month Feels like a century has passed.

It's so annoying when people who advocate for the United States to have a special relationship with Israel turn around and act baffled when people pay Israel special attention in turn.
NYT's Bret Stephens whines that Democrats know "Smotrich and Ben-Gvir" but not "the interior minister of Japan." Their "obsession" with Israel drives him "crazy." (Being politically informed on Israel is now anti-Semitic.)

Like, Bret Stevens would be viscerally opposed to the United States judging Israel with the exact same standards with which we judge Japan! He would hate that!

It's so impressive that you wrote this entire hypothetical with one hand
If you were asked to push a button, Democrats would lose the Michigan Senate race. However, the final Senate map would look like this (light shade means flip):

I think it says something about Democrats' inability to command the attention economy that the race where Republicans nominated an election denier for a swing state governorship only would've gotten any persistent national attention if the Democrats nominated a DSA candidate.
I just realized I have heard absolutely nothing about Wisconsin. How are things looking over there?

To be a bit of a Debbie Downer here, this stat could add to the case that there is a kind of "Israel fatigue" building among swing voters, where being loudly anti-Israel *may* be better than being loudly pro-Israel, but being loudly anything-Israel is actually the main put-off.
The data to me says that if anything the issue of Israel is helpful to El-Sayed in Michigan. He does better among voters who say it's extremely impt to their vote than overall. Most Mich voters & indies want military aid ended or reduced to Israel. AIPAC is deeply unpopular.

This theory also explains Stevens's loss, where her "Israel comes to me in my dreams" clip was so damaging less because it made her seem obsessed with Israel *specifically* and more because it made her seem obsessed with a foreign country *vaguely.*

Whether this alternate theory is actually closest to reality, it's clearly what the Rogers campaign is banking on with their "El-Sayed cares more about Palestine than Michigan" ads.
