A typical Nigerian woman with just two daughters for her husband is scared of birthing another girl.
Nigerian women with only girls often say they fear their husbands will impregnate another woman or bring in a son from outside.
Some lose their voice at home, afraid to speak up because they are reminded they still don’t have a son to take over their husband’s name.
When I was house-hunting last year, I picked up the agent with my son. He said he wished his wife could give him one son like mine.
He has two girls. When I asked why he needs a son, he replied that if he had one, the lands held in his sister’s name would be in his own.
I said but you have two daughters and a wife. He said his sister is more family than his wife and daughters, because he is raising them for their future husbands.
This is the rubbish Nigerian women deal with.

I’m going to bed now still thinking about Javit and the tragedy that has befallen his family. If I a total stranger am this deeply affected by what has happened, I can only imagine the depth of anguish and despair his parents must be living with. May God grant his parents the strength to bear what must feel like an unbearable loss, surround them with comfort to find a way through this unimaginable pain. 💔

A man who isn't forthcoming with clarity is a big no. Even if he gives you the answer you want, you will most likely spend the rest of that relationship asking for multiple things to be clarified.
A man who truly wants you will make it known. On this hill I will forever stand.
I will say it over and over and over again.
There is absolutely no shame in asking what the purpose of a relationship is and where it is headed.
Ask the questions. Have the conversations. Be clear about what you want and what you are working towards.
Decentre the shame around having these conversations today. Clarity is not desperation.
Knowing what you want is not pressure and asking for direction is not asking for too much.

Female Doctors not agreeing with Male Doctors, on this pregnancy and childbirth topic, tells me everything I need to know. You lots will not use “I studied this & that” to dismiss women’s experience, your colleagues don’t even agree with you, you def don’t know better than them.

“The reason we don't hear about baby Chance anymore is because he is a failed experiment that pro-life people don't want any more coverage on”
When you really think about how horrific this story is, it’ll turn your stomach.

We all know the reason why this poor quiet Ghanaian boy was shot dead in his school
It is terrorism from those thuggish people who hate Africans so much when all Africans try to do is keep their heads down and mind their business
The USA has many kinds of domestic terrorism but this particular kind targeted at African immigrants is the most under-discussed

If you men so much love children go to the orphanage and adopt a child or pick from the homeless children on the street and adopt a child instead of crying about women’s choice of not wanting kids.

The mom was absolutely right. This doesn't seem like a big deal at first but the expectation to accept "nice" disssapointment like this are how people slowly ignore their own desires, accept less, and be resentful of those who ask for more. You don't have to accept stuff from

People’s whose ancestors called childbirth “one leg on Earth, one leg in Heaven” are fighting for the right to trivialise pregnancy and childbirth.

Na who know know fr. The more you are friends with Edo women the more you know that they like working and acquiring assets. Nothing concern Edo babe with Nwunye Odogwu, na she gan gan be the Odogwu. I love those babes fr.
This is such a lazy narrative. What data do you have to support your conclusion that the majority of Edo women who own houses inherited them from their deceased husbands?
While you lived there for five years, I grew up there.
First, Edo does not have a culture of disinheriting women from land and property simply because they are women.
Secondly, Edo women, and the culture in general, encourage hard work across genders. Edo women are particularly hardworking and are not groomed to be odogwu wives like my sisters down East. Acquiring wealth and property is therefore a by-product of a culture that encourages women to work and build for themselves.
So, bear the shame of how women are treated in your own culture instead of coming here to spill rubbish to suit whatever agenda you're trying to push.
This is how you people keep embarrassing yourselves publicly. Once you get the attention you're looking for, you'll start ayam ayam.
