Mahatma debuts at Peace Park: North Dakota's First Gandhi Statue! The first-ever life-size statue of Mahatma Gandhi in North Dakota was unveiled at Peace Park in Bismarck, marking a special milestone in India–North Dakota friendship. The landmark occasion brought together First Lady Kjersti Armstrong, Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring and other local dignitaries and members of the Indian-American community. With soulful renditions of Gandhiji’s favourite hymns by local school students, the ceremony celebrated his timeless message of peace, non-violence and harmony. India has the largest youth population in the world. The political values this generation develops will shape Indian democracy for the next 50 years. During the lost decade, the question that decided a young person's life was not "What can you do?" It was "Whom do you know?" When disruption replaces argument, the deepest damage is to the young. This is not accountability. It is the substitution of noise for argument. The democratic choice is always this: Which government actually builds something — and which one leaves the next generation poorer than it found them. That is the signal. Everything else is noise. Any discussion on 'Love Jihad' remains incomplete without mentioning the renowned Kerala-based author, Kamala Das—also known as Kamala Surayya. As it happens, this Kamala Das (alias Kamala Surayya) is now in 'paradise'—presumably in the company of 72 strapping men. Kamala Das was a well-known author from Kerala who wrote under the pen name 'Madhavikutty'. She hailed from a royal family in Kerala and belonged to the Nair community. Following the passing of her husband—at which time she was 65 years old—she found herself living in solitude. Yet, she remained filled with intense sexual desires. She had three adult sons, all of whom held prominent positions. One son, Madhav Das Nalapat, served as the Chief Editor of *The Times of India* and later became a high-ranking official at UNESCO; his wife is a princess from the former princely state of Travancore. Another son, Chimman Das, is a diplomat in the Foreign Service, while a third son is a Congress party MLA in Kerala. A friend of one of her sons—Abdussamad Samadani (also known as Sadiq Ali), a Member of Parliament from the Muslim League party—used to frequent her home. He was 32 years her junior. This Muslim League MP pursued Kamala—a woman old enough to be his mother—and ensnared her, not in a web of love, but in a web of sex. Kamala herself described their encounters in a manner reminiscent of the crude, sleazy pulp fiction found in 'Mastram'-style books. Kamala wrote that, for some reason, her sexual desires had only intensified with age. She became devoted to Abdussamad Samadani because he was willing to satisfy those desires. Later, Kamala converted to Islam and adopted the name 'Kamala Surayya'. Her three sons were so deeply hurt by these actions that they severed all ties with her. Perhaps the most shocking detail is that, upon her conversion to Islam, a prince from Saudi Arabia sent an emissary to her home to deliver a bouquet of flowers. ...was sent, and the Government of India did not object to it. Then, in 2009, she was diagnosed with cancer. The Kerala government arranged for her admission to a hospital—first in Mumbai, and later in Pune. Her three sons and all her relatives had already severed ties with her. Her Muslim husband—to whom she was the third wife—never once visited her to check on her condition. Before she passed away, she wrote, "I wish someone had shot me the moment I fell into Samdani’s 'sex trap'." "I did not even realize that I had been ensnared as part of a political conspiracy—specifically to lure Hindu women in Kerala toward Islam—a scheme in which several individuals from Saudi Arabia were significantly involved." After suffering in the hospital for eight long months—all the while longing for her sons and grandchildren—she finally breathed her last. The Kerala government then had her buried in a cemetery located next to the Jama Masjid in Malabar.

We often ask why India did not build software products. Here was a Hyderabad team doing exactly that, meeting an international standard early and selling to real customers. 2 brothers in Hyderabad built a $5,000 rival to software the giants sold for $15,000+. Their team even beat IBM to a new global certification, according to a colleague who was there. They had the technology, the price, and even customers. What squeezed them out was a competitor charging nothing. Let us hear that story... In 2001, a Hyderabad startup was building the kind of software big companies bought from IBM. Its name was Pramati. Most people outside enterprise software have probably never heard of it. Brothers Jay and Vijay Pullur started it in 1998. Their product was an application server: software that runs the business logic behind online systems, from banking to corporate applications. IBM had WebSphere. BEA had WebLogic. Pramati built its own. Then came a small but remarkable moment.... In December 2001, eWeek described Pramati's upcoming server as the industry's 1st independently developed application server compatible with Sun's new J2EE 1.3 standard. Sun's own reference implementation was the important exception. There is a less glamorous record of the work too. Pramati's public benchmark disclosure lists its compatibility test result: "Passed CTS: Dec-2001". This was not only a demo. It was a product you could buy. Contemporary coverage put a 2 CPU license at $5,000, less than a 3rd of the competing IBM and BEA price. Its archived website listed customers including Standard Chartered Bank and the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. So why did not it become a name we all remember? Pramati's later account describes the squeeze: established enterprise vendors at one end, free open-source software such as JBoss at the other. A lower price was not enough when one competitor could charge for its reputation and another could give the software away. Pramati moved away from the standalone application server race into services and other products. The company survived and reinvented itself. But that early product opportunity did not become a lasting position alongside the giants. Sources: eWeek, "J2EE App Server On Way", 18 December 2001; InformationWeek, 8 March 2002; SPECjAppServer2001 disclosure for Pramati Application Server 3.0; Pramati/TechCircle account of the company's reinvention. the new government can itself hand over the investigation to the CBI. Now, here's what the entire controversy is about. In January this year, the ED raided the office of I-PAC, the political consultancy firm associated with the Trinamool Congress. The ED alleged that then Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee arrived at the premises during the raid and took away some important documents and electronic devices. Mamata Banerjee, on the other hand, accused the ED of attempting to access her party's confidential election data. Following this, the ED approached the Supreme Court seeking a CBI investigation into the matter. Meanwhile, West Bengal went to the polls, and the government changed. The Supreme Court has now reserved its verdict in the case. Now all eyes are on whether the court allows a CBI investigation or takes a different view of the matter. What do you think the Supreme Court's decision will be?

Many such reports of persecution of minorities in Pakistan & Human Rights violations have been published earlier too. But it doesn't echo in @hrw @UNHumanRights corridors because they are predominantly #Hindus. These bodies are so infected that they can't see human rights violations of Christians in Nigeria😒
PAKISTAN’S HINDU POPULATION HAS FALLEN FROM 14.6% BEFORE INDEPENDENCE TO JUST 1.7% TODAY According to a new Insight UK report presented to the UK Parliament: • 1,000+ Hindu & Christian women/girls abducted, forcibly converted & married every year • No functioning Hindu temple in Islamabad (construction halted in 2020) • Only Muslims can be President or PM The numbers tell a clear story. @INSIGHTUK2 #Pakistan #Hindus #HumanRights Source : insightuk.org/report-religio…

A well-knowN phenomena called "minority rule". Halal is a way to capture food production of a country. In Denmark since 2011, practically all of the chickens slaughtered were processed at facilities using halal slaughter methods. Not because the Danish government required halal meat, but largely because of economics and demand. Muslims who strictly follow halal dietary laws generally only eat halal meat. Non-Muslims, on the other hand, can typically eat either halal or non-halal meat. So from a business perspective, some manufacturers just make everything halal. You can serve both markets with one product. But here’s where it gets controversial - Halal certification standards require the person performing the slaughter to be Muslim. I believe they have to severe the animal's throat / blood vessels and invoke a prayer to Allah. So if nearly an entire industry adopts halal slaughter, doesn’t that effectively mean certain jobs become restricted to Muslims, regardless of how qualified a non-Muslim applicant might be? As such... Lead to indirect religious discrimination. Would people have to prefer non halal food in order to balance the demand? In Norway, an approved muslim only needs to be present to bless the meat, not do the slaughter themselves. This is the way that it is done in the US also.

HAS THE TIME COME FOR THE SUPREME COURT TO ORDER AN INQUIRY INTO THE MOTIVE BEHIND RITIKA CHOPRA AND THE INDIAN EXPRESS'S MANUFACTURED REPORT AGAINST THE ELECTION COMMISSION? Ritika Chopra's reporting has triggered questions that go well beyond a disagreement over journalistic interpretation. Remember the 2012 Army troop-movement controversy? The Indian Express faced intense criticism over a report that raised questions about military movements near Delhi. The newspaper defended its reporting, but the episode remains a reminder of how consequential editorial framing can be. Then came the USAID $21 million voter-turnout controversy. In February 2025, we at MediaExpose questioned The Indian Express's handling of that story, its repeated publication of S.Y. Quraishi's commentary, and what we considered selective editorial scrutiny. Now, another politically explosive report. Another constitutional institution under scrutiny. @RitikaChopra__ 's story about internal differences within the @ECISVEEP became material in @RahulGandhi 's challenge, even as the Commission maintained that its final SIR decisions were unanimous. The ECI has now placed its position before the Supreme Court through an affidavit approved by all three Commissioners. The question is not whether journalists may investigate the ECI. Of course they may. The question is whether readers and the Court received an accurate account of the difference between internal deliberations and final decisions. Why was the story framed as it was? What editorial safeguards were applied? Did the newspaper adequately establish the significance of the reported disagreements? The Supreme Court should consider an evidence-based inquiry if the material before it indicates deliberate distortion or an attempt to mislead judicial proceedings. Any suggestion of political or financial coordination must likewise be supported by credible evidence, not assumed. From the 2012 controversy to the questions we raised in 2025, and now the ECI reporting, The @IndianExpress 's editorial record deserves serious scrutiny. A newspaper that demands transparency from everyone else must be willing to provide it itself.
