Seeing as congress is insanely unpopular this would be the type of hail mary proposal that could save your asses in the midterms.
Many democrats would be forced to cross party lines to back it I would think. Voting against tax relief for parents would be an awful look.
Based on my research they will be in session from 9/10-9/14 and then gone until after the midterms.
(To avoid voting on the Epstein act II...literal scum)

I'm so relieved Congress finally condemned socialism.
I was seriously worried we might end up with:
- tax rates up to 40%
- forced wealth transfers from working age people to retirees
- taxpayer dollars funneled straight to insurance companies and Big Pharma
- and the federal government quietly nationalizing huge chunks of strategic industries such as chipmakers like Intel
Thank goodness they drew that line in the sand before any of that scary socialist stuff could happen. 🇺🇸

The man ahead of me at a Whataburger in Texas ordered "a number two, no pickles."
I understood the form. A number, then a declaration.
I stepped up. I said, "Number seven. No mercy."
The girl at the register did not blink. She said, "Seven, no mercy," and typed something.
Someone in the kitchen yelled, "SEVEN, NO MERCY," and someone else laughed, and then a third voice, older, said, "Y'all heard the man."
It came with jalapeños I had not asked for, and a sauce I could not identify, and the bag was warm in a way I found threatening.
I ate all of it. A man does not order no mercy and then request mercy.
I have gone back nine times. I say the same thing. The kitchen says it back before I finish.
