Makes speeches for 500k a pop. Hasn’t eaten dinner that costs less than $250 in years. Has never been in a Cheesecake Factory. Undefeated at condescending to regular folks. Will always be known for a presidency that ushered in the Trump era to begin with.

LeBron James was born to a 16-year-old single mother in Akron, Ohio. He bounced between friends just to have a place to sleep. Then this country handed him everything.
It gave him over $500 million in NBA salary and over $1 billion more in endorsements and business deals. Forbes puts his net worth at $1.4 billion. He was the first active NBA player in history to become a billionaire.
And when the national anthem plays for the country that made all of that possible, he can't give it two minutes of respect.
No hand over his heart. No standing still. He's goofing around, flailing his arms, flapping around, pretending to shoot a basketball, doing literally anything except honoring the flag that turned a kid from Akron into a billionaire.
That's not a protest. That's not a statement. That's just disrespect.
Millions of Americans work their whole lives and never see a fraction of what this country gave him. Men and women died so he could play a game for a living in front of sold-out arenas. The least he could do is stand there and act like it means something.

They told my 19-year-old son to go home and die. I told them no.
He was diagnosed last year with Stage 4 Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma. If you don't know what that is, be grateful. It's a monster.
He is 19. He has his whole life ahead of him. But right now, he’s been in a hospital bed for 17 straight days. The doctors are standing in the hallway trying to hand me hospice paperwork. They say there is nothing more they can do. They say he doesn't qualify for clinical trials because his platelet counts are too low.
So the system’s answer is to give up.
I will never give up.
He has been on the Joe Tippens protocol for over a year. I have him on every supplement, every tea, every diet change I can find. I have spent every waking hour reading, researching, and fighting. I am not a doctor, but I am his mother. And a mother’s research never stops.
He is far too young, and he has so much to give this world.
I am writing this because I need help.
If you have been through this if you have fought aggressive cancers, if you have dealt with low platelets blocking treatment, if you know of doctors who think outside the box please tell me.
What did you do when they told you there was nothing left? What else should I be looking at?
We are sitting in this hospital room, and I am refusing to sign the papers. I am asking for a miracle, but I am also asking for information. I will not let him go without a fight.
Please keep my sweet boy in your prayers. And if you have any advice, please share it below.
⚠️ I am sharing our story to ask for help, not medical advice. We are working with his medical team, but I am looking for any additional avenues. Please keep us in your thoughts.

Alex Golesh's parents left Moscow with two kids, four hundred dollars and no English. Today as coach of Auburn he beat number 1 Georgia
His father was a telecommunications engineer. In New York he drove a truck.
His mother was a medical aide. She cleaned houses.
Their seven year old is the head coach at Auburn. Tonight he walked into Athens and beat number one Georgia on the road.
Here is the whole thing.
The Soviet Union was coming apart. Vladimir and Bella Golesh decided they were taking their sons out.
Here is the father, on why.
"We were scared."
"We didn't know exactly what life would be like. We just knew we had to get to America."
"Leaving Russia was the only decision."
It took about two years of paperwork and interviews before they could go. An aunt in New York sponsored them and met them at the airport.
They brought a few bags of clothes and four hundred dollars. Not one of them spoke the language.
They landed in Brooklyn and lived in a two bedroom apartment above a bodega. Alex was seven and learned English at school.
Now here is what he actually remembers about arriving in America.
Bananas.
"I loved bananas. That was like my thing."
"They were really hard to get. They were like a delicacy almost."
"Man, in America, you can get all the bananas you want."
That was the measure of the whole country to a seven year old. You could have as many bananas as you wanted.
He remembers the street vendors too, and wanting to try what he had only seen people on television having.
"I was like, I just want to try that."
"I thought it was the greatest thing I'd ever tasted."
Later the family moved to Ohio because it was cheaper to live there. And that is where he saw this sport for the first time.
Here is how he describes figuring out what he was watching.
"These dudes are running around and hitting people, and it's encouraged. Like, people are clapping for people smacking people."
"That was the first time I ever saw a college football game. I thought it was the coolest thing ever."
Here is his wife Alexis.
"I'm absolutely astonished every time I hear the story."
"Alex had never even seen American football."
And here is the line from him that explains all of it.
"When you're a kid, you don't really know what you don't have."
His father never stopped working. He drove for a pizza company, then managed a store, then ran a warehouse.
And his mother, who got off that plane unable to say one sentence in English, works for a language translation service now.
A man who fixed telephone lines in Moscow got in a truck in New York instead. His wife cleaned other people's houses. They did it with four hundred dollars and no way to ask anybody for help.
Tonight their kid walked into Sanford Stadium and beat the best team in the country in front of its own crowd. 27 to 24, on a field goal at the end.
Here is the last thing his father said about leaving.
"We are free."

This is the heartbreak that is so often ignored.
When boys play girls’ sports, the boys get institutional support and sympathetic media profiles, while adults in charge congratulate themselves on their virtuous ability to ignore reality.
But girls are left abandoned on the sidelines, grappling with a devastating but unmistakable message: “You don’t matter.” States like Washington will toss girls’ fairness, safety, and opportunity aside the moment it interferes with the interests of a boy who claims to be a girl.
This isn’t just wrong. It’s a deliberate decision to treat girls worse than boys and demand sacrifices from them that boys don’t have to make. This is unlawful sex discrimination under Title IX.
That’s the argument we made in a recent application to the Supreme Court. On behalf of our client Kallie Keeler, we asked the Court to stop this unlawful discrimination and make Washington state give her a fair and safe playing field so she can play the sport she loves.
This scene just shows several more human reasons why the Court’s action is needed.

Shame on all the dads, granddads and brothers who have let this bullshit happen. Truly indefensible.

We're better men for every bit of it.
