“We aimed high and looked far. Probably we were often foolish, from the point of view of opportunist politics, but at no time did we forget that our main purpose was to raise the whole level of the Indian people, psychologically and spiritually, and also, of course, politically and economically."
-Jawaharlal Nehru Dr. PTR lives the dream of Nehru. Dr. P.T.R is the person I think of whenever I make choices at my workplace. What a legacy of credibility, transparency, and policy depth. He is my role model. I aspire to reach his level of values and intellect someday, even if it feels unattainable. His words have guided me through some of my most difficult phases, and strengthened me as I pursued my art and writing. I still remember informing him first when I began translating Periyar’s work. During a film shoot, when a situation turned volatile, his timely intervention ensured the safety of hundreds of us on set. I later learned he had reached out to his team at 2:30 AM to make that happen. That is something I will never forget. Truly a father figure. Beyond public life, there is a compassion and strength to him that people rarely see. In Madurai, during the election season, I heard many stories from those around him -each reflecting the same thing: an uncompromising commitment to truth and ethics. A rare kind of integrity that earns respect across political lines. He didn’t have any PR strategist. Everything he did was authentic. To me, he represents a generational leader -one driven not by power, but by purpose: to serve, to uphold a legacy, and to elevate society. When we live authentically, we meet two kinds of people:
• Those who try to dim your light
• Those who shine so brightly that they help you shine too I’ve been fortunate to encounter the latter. I intend to stay in that flow. Because in the end, wins and losses are fleeting. What truly matters is the people we uplift, the dreams we ignite, and the strength we build in others. That is the kind of legacy that inspires me.

The Chief Minister’s Trophy is a routine tournament that's been happening for ages. I personally qualified for the district level in the same cm trophy 3 times during the Selvi J. Jayalalithaa era, and my friend won the state level twice. I’ve literally seen 3 different CMs distribute these trophies over the years. But I have NEVER seen a Chief Minister make a sporting ceremony entirely about himself. Summavaa narcissist nu solraanga? He is the living, breathing, pakka example of one!

Nope. No. The question is never about any God's purity. Nothing, no deed or words or thghts about any God or religion should ever be reason for killing someone.
What is the truth? On October 14, 2026, the two people sentenced to death in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, were *Nazrul Islam Abdul Basir and Siti Akhtar* from Bangladesh, and they weren't even husband and wife. According to Bangladeshi media, Nazrul had gone to Saudi Arabia in 2022 as a cleaner, and Siti was working there. In May 2023, about 1 month before Hajj, both were allegedly caught by Saudi security forces inside a mosque in Mecca committing immoral acts. After that, they spent more than 3 years in jail, the trial took place in Jeddah court, and upon being found guilty, by royal order, they were hanged in Mecca on October 14, 2026. Their bodies were sent to Bangladesh on October 18. Why was the punishment so severe? Every mosque in Mecca has its own sanctity; it is connected to our Prophet ﷺ. Under Saudi Arabia's "Public Decency Law," such acts in a mosque are strictly prohibited, and violating the sanctity in a Mecca mosque makes the case extremely serious under "Ta'zir," which can carry the death penalty. According to the Saudi Ministry of Interior, the charges against both of committing "fi'al al-fahisha" inside the mosque—that is, a serious sexual act of an obscene nature / adultery—were proven. Bangladesh's State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaid Islam herself confirmed this on October 17. So the question isn't where they were from; the question is—will you respect the purity of Allah's house or not? A mosque is a place of worship, not shamelessness! Whoever does such a thing on Mecca's sacred land will surely face punishment. Stop spreading rumors; understand the truth.

This still doesn’t justify an execution. Places of worship should have a warning - ‘’Harmful to human life.”
I had no intention of discussing this filthy and shameful matter, but I am compelled to post in protest against the spread of false and fabricated stories. Two individuals from Bangladesh, Nazrul Islam and Sathi Akhtar. Both worked for the Bin Laden Company and were cleaners at the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca Mukarramah. The girl resided in Villa Batha Quraish, while the boy lived in Villa Hayy al-Iskan. During their duty, a romantic relationship developed between the two, and they committed adultery in a deserted room located on the stairs between gates 85 and 87 of the Masjid al-Haram. Nazrul Islam had instructed one of his Indian friends to stand guard below. That friend recorded a video of the incident. Later, when he himself expressed a desire to commit adultery with the girl but was unable to do so, or when neither consented, he made the video public. After that, the incident came into the public eye. Saudi authorities succeeded in arresting all three individuals. The Indian youth was sentenced to 20 years in prison and remains in jail. The other two were also kept in prison. Nazrul Islam had arrived in Saudi Arabia from Bangladesh between November 10 and 13, 2022. He committed this wrongful act in May 2023, after which Saudi authorities arrested him. He remained in prison from May 2023 to October 2026. The judicial proceedings of this case lasted approximately three and a half to four years. During this time, it is the responsibility of the Saudi government to inform the sponsor and the company. It is not their responsibility to notify people from other countries about it. Many people are claiming that the two had gone for Umrah and had merely kissed there. All these stories are completely false and fabricated. It is true that both were unmarried. But the question here is: even though they were unmarried, why were they sentenced to death? Do you know why? Because this is the Masjid al-Haram. The matter here is not limited to just the punishment for adultery; rather, the individual also violated the sanctity and honor of the Masjid al-Haram. For this very reason, to set an exemplary punishment, the senior judges of the Supreme Court deemed the death penalty appropriate as a deterrent measure and pronounced the same sentence. This punishment is in accordance with the Quran and Sunnah. The most astonishing thing is that even today, we continue to shamelessly spread lies about this matter. Atheist individuals from both the right and left wings in Bangladesh are saying all this, and even some of those who advocate for the implementation of Islamic law in Bangladesh are opposing this decision. May Almighty Allah guide us, Ameen.
