So... Snowpiercer season 4 did a full body scan and full range of emotion capture of all the series regulars on the show not ever telling us the real reason why. NOW I know why and it's really disturbing because I didn't consent. #SAGAFTRAstrong #WGA

AI has to be addresses now or never. I believe this is the last time any labor action will be effective in our business. If we don’t make strong rules now, they simply won’t notice if we strike in three years, because at that point they won’t need us. 10/end

Judy Heumann dedicated her life to the fight for civil rights—starting as a young organizer at Camp Jened and later helping lead the disability rights movement. Michelle and I were fortunate to work with Judy over the years, and are thinking of her family and friends.

ALT Image description: A black and white photo of Judy Heumann. In the photo, she has short, chin-length hair and octagon-shaped metal glasses and is speaking into a microphone while seated in a manual push wheelchair. She is wearing a coat with a large button pin with words that read “SIGN 504” in very large block letters and “HUMAN RIGHTS ACCD” in smaller block letters.

This is happening basically every day across this country and it is so sick, and amounts to a kind of psychological torture at the hands of the state. Just unspeakably gruesome.
When Deborah Dorbert of Florida learned her baby had a lethal diagnosis, she hoped to terminate the pregnancy. When that wasn’t possible, she decided to share her story with me as she waits to deliver Baby M, who is expected to suffocate soon after birth. washingtonpost.com/health/20…

This woman had an ectopic pregnancy that would never result in a birth but could kill her. And she had to sit around, bleeding internally, until lawyers were able to insert 20 paragraphs of legal language into her medical chart so that if her doctor could defend himself in court.
The patient in TN who had the ectopic pregnancy & delay in treatment due to the #Tennessee abortion ban was treated at Vanderbilt. If doctors there needed lawyers to tell them they could do their job, imagine what’s happening at smaller, rural hospitals.

Folks, especially the VA’s, please don’t use the AI image generators. It may seem like harmless fun, but every instance legitimatizes computers over human talent and feeds the machine. The engineers developing AI imagery are also developing AI voices, & it’s closer than you think

Elderly male judge denied her request, because he decided she wasn’t mature enough to have an abortion. Apparently mature enough to single-handedly raise twins, though.

A group of christofascists has shot at power substations in Moore county to shut down a drag show happening in town. 40,000 residents are without power, people who need power for medical devices, families who need to stay warm, plunging a community into darkness. A terror attack.

THREAD. A New York Times article on Eric Adams' fascist and illegal plan to arrest "homeless people" who cops "deem" to be "mentally ill" is astonishing for what is missing.
