delayed delivery needs to be banned. sellers should not have months to decide if they want to deliver a ticket. that’s where consumer protection effort should be focused.
Hey @StubHub I bought tickets on Feb 2nd for a show at MSG on Oct 28th. Harry Styles. You just cancelled 2 hours before the show!No option for other tickets. I traveled cross country with a friend and we are out airfare and hotel and no concert. What are you going to do? #fraud

Live Nation told investors ~95% of its shows don’t sell out. ~35M unsold tickets. Most agentic commerce talk is still about scarce inventory. But the products that shipped are mostly about discovery. Ticketmaster’s ChatGPT app helps answer “what should I go to?” Discovery shows what’s for sale. It doesn’t show what buyers are willing to pay. That’s the missing piece. Agents can see asks. They need to see bids.

Together, Together tour update as of 8/21 5 days out from the first show. Harryween continues to climb, up from $599 to $653 in just over a week. $200+ premium to every other Saturday show. Wednesday still the best value night. September 2nd + October 14th the only nights still under $300.
Harry Styles ticket update as of 8/17: A little over a week out until the first show and starting to see demand pick up. Harryween up to $624. Average get in across the tour is at $360. New cheapest get in is on Oct 21 ($268). Everything drifting slightly up.

Ticketing needs new underlying technology rails and industrywide standards. A seller should only be able to list a ticket they actually have, and it should automatically transfer to the buyer immediately after they buy it.

Company origins often trace back to a personal pain point. For @xpticket founder @saunders3000, it was an Olivia Rodrigo concert and a wrong-date ticket he couldn't resell anywhere. "I bought tickets for my girls to Olivia Rodrigo and I bought the wrong date. It was annoying. And I'm stuck with these things and I'm like, this is just dumb. I'm on Twitter, just being like, who wants these? And then my DMs were all weird. StubHub was just... it was the worst. It was just a bad experience." The tickets never made it to a marketplace at all. "I ended up giving it to a coworker. Him and his girlfriend bought my kids some swag."

fun part of this @snapbacksports partnership has been watching people respond to tweets thinking we cut Casey a deal to make us look good reality is he’s just buying direct from a fan, like anyone else on XP’s fan-to-fan platform. the disbelief is honestly the best proof of pmf there is when the tech lets fans trade directly and safely, buyers and sellers both feel like they got deals. tickets go back to being about seeing the game, not crazy prices, high fees, or scammers.
This is what $400 gets you at BC Place for Colombia vs. Switzerland Another steal trading with fans on @xpticket

Bump on this. Narrative was “FIFA overpriced everything, seats going empty.” Category-style primary means teams price 4 tiers instead of 50k seats. Better demand signal. Prices land closer to actual demand. Secondary market gets real liquidity. Underrated factor in all this.
.@FIFAWorldCup did a lot wrong to create this ticket mess ahead of the World Cup. But the category-style primary sale is actually a pretty brilliant mechanic. If artists leaned into this mechanic for primary releases, it’d help fix a lot of what’s broken in ticketing today.

Hidden fees. Fake listings. Waiting for someone else to go first. Buying a ticket shouldn't feel like negotiating a hostage exchange. @saunders3000 on rebuilding ticketing with @XPticket on Solana.

I do not envy whoever is in charge of pricing the Knicks "Fan First" presale Game 4 get-in is $14,756 today. Was $3,659 on June 2nd. Go too high (>$10k) → massive PR backlash on a sale literally called "fan first" Go too low (<$5k) → leaving potentially millions of dollars on the table, and probably still dealing with backlash for charging several thousand dollars for something called fan first
REPORT: The Knicks are still expected to hold a “Fan First” presale for NBA Finals tickets, per @PIX11News. Details are expected this weekend, but there will be no general public sale for NBA Finals tickets at MSG.
