This is sickening.
This is what kids in America practice now. Lock the door, get out of sight, and know what to do if someone walks in with a gun. It didn't used to be this way. After Columbine in 1999, schools started making plans for an armed attacker. A private company came up with ALICE training, which teaches kids and teachers to lock down, run or fight back. Then Sandy Hook happened in 2012. Twenty first graders and six adults were killed, and schools started running these drills a lot more often. Now nearly every public school does them. Federal data shows about 96% of public schools ran lockdown drills with students in 2021-22. At least 40 states require school drills by law. Some schools went way past locking a door. They used fake blood, blanks and adults playing masked shooters. Some didn't tell the kids it was a drill. In 2019, at an elementary school in Indiana, sheriff's deputies had teachers kneel against a wall and shot them in the back with plastic pellets. They told them, "This is what happens if you just cower and do nothing." Teachers were left with welts and scars. So what does this do to kids? Georgia Tech researchers looked at social media posts from the communities around 114 schools in 33 states, from 90 days before a drill to 90 days after. After the drills, talk about stress and anxiety went up 42%, depression went up 39%, and physical health complaints went up 23%. It lasted at least three months, and it showed up in kids as young as five, in their parents and in their teachers. The American Academy of Pediatrics says to keep kids out of high-intensity drills completely and never trick them into thinking an attack is real. The two biggest teachers unions say drills shouldn't act out a shooting at all. We're teaching five-year-olds to hide from gunmen because we won't do anything about the guns. On Tuesday you can vote for people who will.

PANIC IN MOSCOW: Russian military bloggers are spiraling as Ukraine launches its most aggressive and precise refinery-destruction campaign yet! ⚡ 3 of Russia’s LARGEST oil refineries hit in just 72 hours. With Russian air defense stripped bare to cover the frontlines, Kremlin assets are sitting ducks. The reality is sinking in: the previous strikes were just a warmup. Ukraine is systematically dismantling Russia’s energy backbone, and Moscow is completely powerless to stop it. 🔥 The fire is spreading. The war has come home.

A Michigan-born doctor is apparently less American to Trump than someone born in South Africa. Interesting how that works.

🔥🔥🔥 Aftermath of a Storm Shadow🇬🇧 missile strike, by Ukraine 🇺🇦, on a Russian defense plant in Yelets, Lipetsk Oblast. 👉 The factory is destroyed: More missiles for Ukraine means fewer weapons for Russia's war machine.

Putin kills real people. By the hundreds of thousands. For no reason other than power. Naturally, Trump loves him.
Today, October 30th, my dad has been killed in action. My kind, calm father. I write it here because I know my dad has many friends in the NAFO community, people who he could rely on for help. His memory will perdure on this account. Forever loved and missed. 🛡️🕯️❤️

A Russian drone slammed into a supermarket in a Ukrainian city. The strike started a fire that burned the whole building down and the people who died inside actually suffocated or burned to death. Just business as usual, right Elon?

Trump calls protesters losers, but what's really funny is he thinks all of you are losers, even you clowns applauding.
Trump is filled with rage after being protested 3 times at his Florida rally: "Shut up! Shut up, dope. Loser!"

WAR IS KILLING THE PLANET.
War is killing the planet & no one seems to care because they think it’s a net gain which it’s not. It’s only a short term military gain but the effects that it has on the planet is long lasting. I guess revenge for killing humans is to kill to the planet

Q: If the administration has declared war on waste and fraud, can you explain the $420 million overpayment for a prison in Appleton, Minnesota, when the company offered it to the state of Minnesota for $75 million? BESSENT: That question is a waste of time.

Oil runs out. Gold gets mined. Money can be printed. But once bees, trees & clean water are gone, NO amount of money brings them back. Nature is the real non-renewable resource.

We have had two terrorists attacks on our Country. 9/11 was a foreign terrorists attack. The other was Jan. 6th a domestic terrorist attack. The only difference is 9/11 united us and Jan. 6th divided us.
🚨 NEVER FORGET JANUARY 6. Trump watched from the White House dining room as police officers were beaten, refusing for HOURS to stop the mob trying to overturn the 2020 election. If Republicans lose the midterms, will Trump try to STEAL ANOTHER ELECTION?

Police shoot Black man having a seizure with taser—7 times. He was putting up Halloween decorations outside his own home. EMS was treating him after he collapsed in his yard. "All of a sudden a cop shows up, shoves everyone out the way, and jumps on top of him," brother said. The officer has only been identified as Sgt. Price with the Chattahoochee Police Department. He claims he was just trying to assist EMS with a "combative individual" and encountered "physical resistance." Dwight Jackson is the man attacked by the cop. He says was not intentionally combative—was defenseless and only experiencing a medical emergency. Dwight Jackson described the experience as being "more terrifying than being in the war." Incident occurred outside his house on Chattahoochee Street in Chattahoochee, Florida.
