This is sad but true. People who need to be told what to do are the least valuable people in the workforce now. High agency is the main thing we look for across all disciplines. The new tools will tell you how to use them and what they are capable of; Trying anything is better than making sure you are doing the right thing.
In our design exercise interview, one of the main signals I look at is how long it took the candidate to make their first mark on the canvas.
Replying to @hansel_hansl
there is no more training at the workplace, welcome to the new world
it's hiring people who teach themselves + take iniative. there are people like this, they will fare better
I know this is rage bait, but I could definitely imagine a person so impressed by a microwave that they throw away their oven and then when it comes time to roasting a chicken they’ve shot themselves in the foot
AI generated music is 1000x better than real music.
Today I canceled Spotify and SiriusXM because I finally tested Suno.
What sold me was the first prompt I gave it:
“My favorite artists are A Day to Remember, Bring Me The Horizon, Spiritbox, Bad Omens, and Sleep Token.
Analyze all their hits and generate a song I’m likely to love based on those artists.”
It one shots an absolute banger in 10 seconds.
I'll link the song in the next tweet for anyone curious.
Why would I ever go back to Spotify/SiriusXM when I can generate music perfectly tailored to my taste on command, for free?
Not affiliated with Suno in any way btw, it was just one of those moments where I was so impressed with AI’s capability I had to say something about it.
Single serving, disposable websites are so hot right now. Great tool by the luminary @chanpory 👏🏼
Designers should be building their own tools. Love seeing @scspeier, Head of Design at Perplexity, make that case at @DoubleDiamondHQ's season opener.
2024: “why would I use 1Password when iOS passkeys exist”
2026: I am always betting on the underdog
Today we announce 1Password for Agents platform, building with companies @Muse, SpaceX Super Intelligence Grok @Bot, @AnthropicAI’s @Claudeai, @OpenAI, @TownAI, @Browserbase, @Browser_use, @heydana_ai, Instinct, @usekernel, @Perplexity_ai, @tryramp, @Tomo, and @wajo_ai, with more integrations on the way. 🎉
We've heard from so many of our customers who want to use these new personal AI agents to help them get more done, but want more control over what the agent can access with the same trust and ease of use they get when using 1Password directly.
1Password for Agents gives your agents access without giving up your passwords. When an agent reaches a sign-in form, it requests a credential from your vault. If you approve the request, 1Password directly auto-fills the credential in the destination site so the agent can’t see or take possession of the credentials.
The agent gets the task done, but it doesn’t get your passwords..
You stay in control. 1Password for Agents free and optional for personal and family accounts. Unless you opt-in to an agent connector, agents cannot touch your vault.

In my @DoubleDiamondHQ talk last month, I spoke on how we are shifting from a 'thinker' mindset to a 'builder' mindset. Carpenters have been doing this since the dawn of time. I used a carpenter's pushrod as a metaphor for how we are designing for ourselves first, and it really resonated with a lot of people.
I used to liken product design most to architecture: the central challenge was directing people through a space within its constraints. Now, I see a closer parallel in carpentry. We increasingly build for ourselves, creating the jigs and tools that make both our work and our lives easier. It feels emblematic of a broader shift from a mentality of thinking to one of building.
Something I talked about at the @DoubleDiamondHQ season opener, which was a snippet from @_andychung and @DaisyDalHaeLee's talk at POV Budapest, is that many aesthetic waves are defined by the constraints of their tools. Which leads to a question we are asking everyday at Perplexity: What does the aesthetic future look like if we can define our own constraints?
Had a ton of fun talking about self-serve design tooling at @DoubleDiamondHQ's season opener. It's a great time to be a designer. Very proud to show off the myriad ways our design team works at Perplexity.
.@scspeier, Head of Design at @perplexity_ai, shares how his team uses their own product to build tools for themselves and shape new capabilities for Computer.

A big metric for success as a designer is when everyone wants to be a part of your story; eg quote tweets, replies. People are not just telling you that you did a great job, but they will legitimately feel fomo if they aren’t connected to it in some trivial way. @_darshi you crushed this, and this is a great example of showing your value to be a desirable hire rather than trying to connect with people to find an in-road.
Hi, it's Darshita. I am a designer.
And I'm pitching myself in public 'cause I'm done with a year full of anxiety.
Everyone says design is dead and AI killed it. But the real parasite was hiding in plain sight.
So here's my film, DESIGN IS DEAD. She's bold, fearless and very PINK 💖
Hiring? My DMs are open.
Has anyone done this to permanently remove motion smoothing from their parents’ tv yet?
