The AI search conversations from my time at Semrush Villa at this year's #canneslion have really stuck with me.
In my panel with @Kevin_Indig , @ritacidre , Leigh McKenzie, and Patrick Brown we covered all things AI visibility, and the takeaway that keeps coming back to me is how many brands are still at the starting line.
When Rita asked me to contribute to the AI Visibility Index Report and posed the question "what's the biggest shift in AI search that nobody's talking about?", my answer was one word: agentic.
We're all using AI agents. Far fewer of us are optimizing for them.

Big news: Exploding Topics is now in the Semrush App Center!
It's honestly kinda surreal...
I started Exploding Topics with Josh Howarth as a side project.
We were hopeful.
But I had no idea if our little SaaS startup would work.
There were ups.
There were downs.
But over the next 3 years we grew the company to millions in revenue with customers like Target, Amazon and Google.
To top it all off, we were acquired by Semrush in Aug 2024.
Today, we finished integrating Exploding Topics with Semrush.
And I couldn't be more excited to see Exploding Topics on a Nasdaq publicly traded company's MASSIVE marketing platform.
Now that Exploding Topics is integrated with Semrush, I'm looking forward to seeing continuing development to improve it even more.
Speaking of...
I'd love to hear of any ideas on how we can make Exploding Topics more useful.
I'll personally be reading the replies and adding your suggestions to the product roadmap.
