We celebrated the completion of the Beach Street Quick-Build with @SFMTA_Muni, @baywheels, @sfcta Vice Chair and District 3 Supervisor @DannySauter, @sfcta Commissioner and District 2 Supervisor @scsherrill , @TheWharfSF 🚲🎉 The project features a new two-way protected bikeway, safer crosswalks, and better loading along one of Fisherman Wharf’s busiest streets. We’re proud to support this project with funding from the voter-approved Prop K #SFTransportationTax and Prop D TNC Tax dollars. The total cost of this Quick-Build project was $790,000. The Transportation Authority fully funded the project through Prop K sales tax and Prop D TNC Tax funds. Since the inception of the Prop D TNC Tax in 2019, the Transportation Authority has awarded over $23 million to SFMTA’s Quick Build program and another $14 million from the #SFTransportationTax, which has enabled safety improvements completed on over 40 corridors around the city.

We joined @SFUnified, @SFMTA_Muni, @walksf, @SFSafeRoutes, District 11 Board Member Chyanne Chen, students, teachers, families, and community partners to celebrate Walk and Roll to School Week at Guadalupe Elementary School. 🚶🚲🛴🛹🛼 The program encourages students to walk, bike, roll, and take transit to school while promoting safer, healthier, and more sustainable ways to get around. We’re proud to provide more than $8M across four years through regional grants and Prop L #SFTransportationTax to support Safe Routes to School, walking and rolling school buses, and other programs that help students get to school safely. This past April, the Transportation Authority approved prioritizing $5.8 million in new OBAG Cycle 4 funds, along with $851,000 in additional Prop L sales tax funds, to ensure the stability of the Safe Routes to School Non-Infrastructure program from July 2027 through September 2030. 📷 Photos by SFMTA Photography

Come to the first Japantown Town Hall on the Western Addition-Geary Boulevard Community Study! 🎏 The Western Addition - Geary Boulevard Community Study (WAGCS) is a community-driven effort to re-imagine the area which was harmed by the widening of Geary Boulevard in the 1950s and 60s, disrupting long-standing communities like Japantown and the Fillmore / Western Addition. The events aims to gather input on how to repair harms and reconnect communities through transportation improvements, urban design, and land use strategies with community voices at the Center.
