A fan-zone is more than just a way to sell more food and drink on match-days. Some clubs are turning them into 7-days a week entertainment venues but there are risks.
Innovative new 'fan ownership scheme'

I wonder if @AlanPaceBFC knows it's a criminal offence not to file accounts and if struck off, all company assets revert to the Crown (King Charles, a Burnley fan 😂). Also directors become personally liable for any debts

El Clasico was a reminder how successful La Liga has been in the USA in attracting major brands like Walmart and McDonalds. Their MD explains how they did it: youtube.com/watch?v=eOevAgj7…
So predictable. So far the only news on the Burnley manager job is people rushing to make sure everyone knows they don't want it.
Understand Rob Edwards is not interested in the Burnley job and Carlos Corberan is holding out for a top-flight club @talkSPORT @JacobsBen

Looking at the @BXSport pics from @kelvinstuttard at Lincoln and there actually was a non-AI image of a North Korean flag in the away end. Thoughts @DPRKClarets ?
How triggered can you be by one little banner? So far, we have seen long lines as Turf Moor security searched fans on entry. Stewards tried to steal the flag from fans and police had to intervene. And then....the banner was behind the goal for a penalty kick at Lincoln and so the club actually edited out the (missed) pen from the highlights.....

Couldn’t agree more with every word here from @henrywinter.
Pace has to take a long, hard look in the mirror and at those he chooses to surround himself with.
There’s a lot of people earning a lot of money at that football club who aren’t up to the job.
Burnley 22nd in the Championship, players not responding to coach Nicky Hayen, whacked 4-1 by Lincoln City, so no great surprise that Hayen sacked after 14 games (one win). But… even by football standards the club's curt 26-word dismissal statement is unnecessarily brutal (and naïve) for four reasons...
First, it’s classless towards a departing member of staff, however underachieving, so what does that say about the owners’ treatment of people? What message does it send to potential successors?
Second, Hayen was the board’s appointment. What does that say about their judgement? Nb: new technical director incoming who should understand football better than chairman Alan Pace.
Third, it highlights the mess, not least in recruitment, that Hayen stepped into. Did he have a chance? Relegated squad, sold best players (last two club POTYs Flemming & Esteve + Anthony), is there enough fight in the team?
Fourth, highlights the club’s financial problems. Burnley used to be well-run.
Board have to make the right appointment, remember Burnley are a football club as well as a business and engage better with increasingly disaffected fans. Burnley fans deserve better than what Pace and ALK Capital are giving them. #twitterclarets
