Saw a visually-impaired man walking alone today and realised how little of our city is built for him. Read about Torchit after. They make canes that buzz when something’s in the way, and glasses that read text out loud. Love seeing Indian innovations.

They vote blue (hopecore), blue wins by a whisker.
They vote red, and learn at the end that they've been deceived. Everyone who voted blue lives, everyone who voted red dies. (Also, hopecore, but as a tragedy).
They don't just grieve that they will die, but also that they...
This has to be satire right? Right??
It’s sad to see Mira, Bob, and Barret go—not only because they are excellent leaders but also because I will miss seeing them day to day. They are my friends.
Their departures made me think about the hardships parents faced in the Middle Ages when 6 out of 8 children would die prematurely. Despite the profound loss, the parents had to accept it and find deep joy and satisfaction in the 2 who survived.
OpenAI is not perfect, and that’s fine. In all sorts of ways, this is an opportunity. The organization has achieved a lot and has tremendous potential. I am amazed by the number of talented people around me in the organization. I am in awe of the sheer number of GPUs, users, and people whose lives ChatGPT have changed (there are even cases of people whose lives were saved by ChatGPT).
With all its imperfections, OpenAI is extraordinarily amazing. Sam, despite all his shortcomings and mistakes, has created an incredible organization.
I wish Mira, Bob, and Barret all the best in finding whatever brings them tremendous joy. That might mean spending time with their kids, starting something new as CEOs, or simply taking some time to chill. They have been sprinting an ultramarathon.
Thank you, guys, for being my team and my co-workers. With each of you, I have collected cool memories — with Barret, when we had a fierce conflict about compute for what later became o1; with Bob, when he reprimanded me for doing a jacuzzi with a coworker; and with Mira, who witnessed my engagement.
In the end, there is only love.

Okay, I have a problem wrapping my head around what just happened with Vinesh.
Back in the 1980s, I was friends with a couple of professional jockeys, spent a lot of time at their home in Chennai.

Michael Phelps is literally referred to as a freak of nature because of his disproportionate wingspan, double jointed ankles, lung capacity twice that of an average human, body that produces half the lactic acid of a typical athlete, and he is rightly celebrated for being the greatest male swimmer in history. Meanwhile, female athletes with genetic differences are legally discriminated against and harassed to no end. This is not about “protecting women in sports” - this is about protecting a very specific idea of what a woman is.
Agree, also Chhota Bheem's stats in away (outside Dholakpur) matches are actually very underpar, but he did play a crucial knock against those aliens that one time so I guess that counts for something.
I really like listening to my 'liked songs' playlist after a while because for every song that comes on, I'm like "wow, I really like this song" and then I remember that I only curated it for myself. Well done, me, I'm my biggest fan for real.
Outside every house, there is a receptacle for dishes that need to be washed, waiting to enter.
Let that sink in.
